Subject: Update on whats going on at KtK

Hello Everyone!!
Just to let you all know we are very busy this month.Yesterday we sent out
two packages. One to Stephen Chao and one to Bonnie Hammer. They contained the
latest print-outs of the FK petiton(last count,1279) which can be found at:
http://mx7.xoom.com/forever_nick/Forever_Knight/return_of_fk_petition.htm
Plus copies of all the Ads we have placed in the trades papers to date, and
this months world global chart, showing FK's rise to the # 5th position.

We do urge all of you to please continue to sign the petiton, and vote in the
Global world charts .info and links to those can be found:
http://mx7.xoom.com/forever_nick/Forever_Knight/save_fk.htm

With those packages on the way, we are now going to begin to get ready for
Valentines Day.

We are planning to send a large package of Red Silk Roses to Bonnie Hammer
for the holiday, and would love very much to have lots and lots of E-mails
asking for FK's return to the schedule to place in the package with
them.Kristin has started a new BBoard Valentine message to Sci-fi.so far we
have just 19 people that have signed it.If we want to have FK restored to the
schedule,we need alot more than that.So please,it just takes a few minutes
while your online. :)
Please sign here: http://www.scifi.com/bboard/browse.cgi/1/5/2061

I am also accepting emails directly, asking for FK's return to the Schedule,
so just put"Valentine E-mail " in the subject line, and send it to me at;
SField8067@a.......
i will be accepting those from now till February 7th.

And are we stopping at Valentines Day? no way!! We have projects planned for
all the upcoming holidays!!!
I realise that many of you feel that we can't make a difference, that
whatever we try is a waste of time, but is it?
Remember!! USA had a huge fold-out Ad applauding the efforts of "Nikita"
fans...
One fan can't make a difference, but Thousands can!!..
We can make that same difference!!! We all love FK and want more!! Lets
really let them know how much!!
keep those snail mails coming!! (Sadly, our letter counter Rae has informed
me that these are almost at a complete stand-still!! ) We absolutly need
those to continue to be sent in!!!
Keep the faxes, e-mails,coming in!!
In addition to the many projects we have planned, we are also in the early
stages of getting ready another KtK auction.
Many of you have been very generous in your item donations, for which we are
grateful,if anyone out there has any more stuff :) let me know at:
SField8067@a.......
The proceeds from our auctions go to paying for Ads.As you know, we were able
this last time to place a full page on in the Hollywood Reporter, thanks to
all of you.

We are asking everyone to please hang in there... Schedules on Sci-fi change
all the time, shows come and go and come again. We can Get more FK, we can get
it returned to the Schedule, but only if we all work together!! Lets show
them that the thousands of Forever Knight fans worldwide can make a
difference too!!

P.S. If anyone is wondering what happened to the "Crusader"... we are at
present hard at work on the next issue, just trying to make it the most
complete it can be for all of you.BTW, if anyone has little storys about
accidental meetings/sightings with FK stars, etc. we would love to hear about
it, and print it up to share with our readers around the world.any
announcements of anything, send them along, anything to sell? let us know, we
have a classified section too...we also accept short storys, could be FK or
fk/xovers with other fandoms... as long as its G or PG rated :)
just email me with anything... :)

All the very best to everyone from Kickstart the Knight

Well, we know that FK writers weren't exactly sticklers for
historical accuracy. They did after have LaCroix routing,
pillaging and raping Gaul not long before Vesuvius errupted
in 79 AD, when in fact Julius Caesar had subdued Gaul one
hundred years before. Given what was going on in the far
flung Roman world at the time LaCroix was a general, Judea
would seem to be the only place where Lucius could have
been. The carnage and attrocities committed by Rome on
the people of Israel would more than fit the bill.

Subject: all this talk of Sci-Fi channe...

Explain to me the point of bringing Forever Knight back to the Sci-fi
channel. In my opinion, it's rather a useless cause. If they do bring it
back, it will be a year or even less than that, that they will take off
again, and out of a sudden we have the same old same old, sign petition, pay
this...pay that.
In my opinion, this fight, though good it is, should go more towards
something we have in a way a right to have...tapes. Almost every show from
the early 90's has episodes tapes. Even Kindred:The Embraced, for those who
are familiar with it, didn't last more or less than 4 months, and it was out
in a year on tapes, and now on DVD. Quantum Leap I believe it's the same
thing, and of course the X-files. Where's Forever Knight? It's been how long
now? With the tapes, you don't need Sci-Fi, unless of course one or two of
you out there really believe that Forever Knight will be re-vamped as a
show, with the old actors back and all. Not gonna happen, I'm sorry to say.
Tapes, that's what we need, because quite frankly, ask around who has cable,
or satellite...not many people do, with Sci-Fi, for a lot of people will be
the same thing as not having Forever Knight at all. I'm seeing all this talk
about bringing it back to TV and all, and I haven't really hard, for a long
while, of efforts to bringing in on tapes...come on we should have had the
show available on vhs, or maybe even DVD for a while now. We don't. This is
just my opinion, and I am in many ways as frustrated as you all are. But
Forever Knight has run it's course, I just hate the fact that I don't see on
video stores.
Forgive me if I sound harsh, I don't mean to offend anyone.

We have during the course of our campaign continued to press for FK's release
to video and continue to do so, as we do for anything FK.
As for trying to return FK to Sci-fi?
Well, there are many many new fans of the show that were only able to watch
it for a short time before it was taken away, and many others who have never
seen it at all and would like to.And there are the rest of us that would just
like to be able to turn on the tv and watch it without looking through and
for tapes, which if your like me, have them in a million different places. :)
I believe that we should do all we can to make sure everyone has the
opportunity to see it if possible.

Part of the KtK drive *IS* to get the series out on video!!! I think the address
is still on the "mailing list" sent out occasionally. I think it is Susan
Garrett who has been known to return those postage paide "own your favorite show
on video" forms/magazine inserts back to the company with a notation she only
wants FK (forgive me, Susan, if I'm wrong).

The reason we mention Sci Fi Channel is they have (or at least had) the contract
to air the series. Remember, many people don't have video (many people don't
have cable, either, but networks don't pick up reruns as a rule though local
stations might - but they can't if Sci Fi has the exclusive contract in the US).

KtK also works for more merchandise and novels.

So even if you don't think the series will ever return even as original tv
movies, there's something KtK is working for that will suit your personal
tastes! Write for those professional videos! Write to get that show back on Sci
Fi or another venue that does show old programs! Write for more original novels!

By the way, the actors get residuals when the show is airing on television so by
even getting the reruns back on, we are helping them! LOL!

That does explain why I thought Ronni was a girl. But since it has been
several years, the male personna and the female real person must've blended
somehow.

Oh well. Sorry for the erroneous info.

No. Not signed by Shakespeare, for that would be off-topic. <vbwg>

Makes me wonder, though, if LaCroix isn't a bit dusty in a few places after 2000
years! ;-)

<<As for trying to return FK to Sci-fi?>>

Trying to get FK back on SciFi is only one part of the big picture.

Getting FK back on SciFI is for the enjoyment of both older fans that may
not have been able to tape it in the past. And for new fans that have not
had the opportunity to see the entire series. Not to mention it shows
TPTB there is an interest in the show; thus helping us to get pro tapes
and merchandise.

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone out there can help me out....
Is it possible for a vampire to get drunk? And if so on what? I mean can they
get drunk on alcohol just like a human, or would it have to be on blood?

Many thanks!!!

Yes, for sure, on blood--witness the scene in Dark Knight between Nick and
Nat when she comes to the loft and finds him sprawled on the floor in front
of the television, or Nick's behavior in "Feeding the Beast" when he's at
the Raven, "revamping" himself with human blood.

I don't think there's any evidence that alcohol alone would be
intoxicating.... nauseating, maybe!

Well...I believe that in canon, Nick was able to get drunk/dizzy from a mix
of alcohol and curare, and that excessive blood appeared to have a mind
altering affect.
But it is up to you as to whether or not perhaps a mix of the two, or a
whole new concoction can inebriate our fanged friends.<g>
