speaking of donuts, there was a movie put out a few years back called 'Blood
and Donuts' And it was about a vampire that had been in hibernation since
1969. I can only vaguely remember what the head vamp looked like. And it was
a kind of cheesy movie... but. Didn't it have the guy that plays Vachon in
it? Does anyone even remember this movie?

Hi,
Had to come out of lurkdom to respond to Kyer's 'knightmare' comment.
I have worked for the police department for over 15 years and BELIEVE me when
I tell you that there are very few male officers out there, and quite a few
female one's, who would LOVE to be known by a nickname such as that to their
peers. Most officers have nicknames they use when speaking about each other
(Usually not to ones face!) they tend to emerge from something silly you have
done, most often in the first year of service. I have personally worked with
a bulldog, hot dog, shorty, thumper, elvis, gloves, and hot pants. (hot
pants, had something to do with sitting on a smoldering 2x4 at the scene of a
warehouse fire, not what he would have liked it to refer to!). So, something
like Knightmare, referring to how scary you can be when angered would
definately be more of a status symbol than anything else.
Back to lurking,
Patty

I do not remember the age of actor Ben Bass(Vachon), but if he was in this
movie in 1969, then he must have been about two years old.

:) I'm enjoying reading the discussion that has developed from this! I've
always seen it as a status symbol like Patty described, but now I'm even
more curious. Who was the first person to use this, and how do you think it
became so non-cannonically canonized that everyone seems to refer to Nick
like that now? I still haven't ruled out the possibility that it's been
mentioned in an episode, but I'm not up for another FK marathon for at least
a month when I go on vacation :)

Nunkies Addicts, and others, take note: NB's appearance as Canada's
Governor Guy Carleton was continued in last night's episode 5 of _Canada: A
People's History_ on CBC TV. This time, he got a lot more screen time, and
consequently many more opportunities to show off his acting talent, this
time as the Governor of Canada during the American Revolution. If you want

According to the Internet Movie Database "Blood and Donuts" came out
in 1995. However, it doesn't list Ben Bass in the credits.

If I'm reading that correctly, it says the vampire in the movie had been
hibernating since '69, not that the movie was made then. :o)
Ben Bass is 32 and wasn't in the movie in question. For anyone who's

I'm sure one of the Elder list members probably used it in a fic and because
