Guys, I know the political situation's strange and stressful here in the US,
but please, remember that we do have members of many different political
views here. Please keep political references offlist unless they concern FK
canon, fanfic from Fkfic-l, or unless you can make it clear that you are
stating your opinion only and realize that others' opinions are equally to
be respected.

I've always been very proud of the way Forkni-l has not exploded into flames
while discussing the religious overtones of FK. Surely if we can do that, we
can keep out of the hot zone on politics.

Thank you.

Frankly I am more worried about Nick and Nat's ongoing relationship than I
will ever be about politics. I have priorities.

Okay, since the accusation was made on the group, I feel it's only
fair to rebut in the same forum, but please, let's not turn this
into a political discussion...if anyone wishes to continue the
discussion, please feel free to e-mail. Let's stop at one post
on each side here on the list.

Actually, among the interviews on NPR the next day were people who
*did* ask for a new ballot, but were refused. One lady described
how an election official took the erroneous ballot *out of her hand*
and stuffed it into the box. So if your opinion of the election
is based on the assumption that no one complained on-site, please
re-evaluate that opinion in light of this new data.

But, to keep it on-topic, I think LaCroix would be *very* amused
by the whole thing. He's been around long enough to see corruptions
big and small, especially some of the 'elections' in the Roman
Empire. Remember the horse elected consul? Florida politics would
be old hat to him.

Nick would, of course, be angsting. Probably have a good flashback to
his time in Chicago, an era when he would have fit right in, voting
while dead. ;-)

This is a public apology to McLisa, our long-suffering Listmommy.

My deepest apologies for posting something that, in hindsight, should not
have gone to the list.
Your right, Listmommy, politics have no place here---even in frustrated
humor.

For *what* I wrote, however, I can offer no apology.
If that offends you, ...I'm sorry your upset.

Bows to McLisa,

Who is still curious to which FK characters President LC would choose for
his Cabinet. If any.

Hello Everyone :)
I would first like to thank all of you that have responded to our plea for
donations towards placing the full page Ad in the Hollywood Reporter.
Every little bit helps us to reach our goal...Becky will of course be
updating you all as the donations come in :)
I also would like to take a moment to thank all of you that have supported
not only the cause, but myself and all the KtK staff.
As i have said in the past, KtK isn't just the few of us that do the daily
day to day stuff, but its all of you.Without your continued loyalty and
support we would not exist. We are fans just like all of you.Can we make more
FK happen? can we get the reruns back on the schedule? Can we show TPTB that
we are still here in huge numbers and are as devoted as ever?
If I didn't truly believe that, I would stop.. but I do believe that, and I
believe in all of you.Perhaps we wont get everything we ask for, perhaps only
one, or two things... but even if its just one, it is worth the effort!! and
together, we can do it!! and it would be fantastic for TPTB to open up The
Hollywood Reporter and see that full pager for an entire week!!!

Okay,<G> having said that, I do want to let you all know that in addition to
collecting donations,KtK is planning on sending a Christmas package to
Bonnie Hammer...
If anyone on the lists would like to add Holiday e-mails with your requests
for FK's return to the Schedule, send them over to me at: SField8067@a.......

Special thanks to everyone that has spread the word on the lists :0 Its much
appreciated!!
All the best,
susan ellen field

Hmm. I don't think there are many. If there was a fashion cabinet,
Janette would get it. <g> Sorry Ravenettes. <ducks>

I don't see LC choosing Nick as his vice-president. He wouldn't want
Nick taking over -- in the event that something happened to him.
Actually nothing WOULD happen to LC. <g> A potential assasin shooting
at LC <LOL> would wind up as lunch. And no illness is gonna affect
him.

I guess LC might choose Nat as Surgeon General. In Fever, he did
seem to show some respect for her as a physician -- though not much
for medical science in general.
