A vampire named Feliks Twist is a financial wizard. He can arrange trusts,
transfers and dummy corporations, so that a vampire can hold onto a fortune
throughout the centuries, and not have mortal financiers (or government
agents) become suspicious.

I don't remember seeing this one on the list of questions I answered. I
answered almost all of the others, and seemed to get those right. :)

It's from the epiosde "Blood Money". I know, that probably was a hard
question. ;)
That's the fun of it, a challange!

Except that she was already mortal before that, wasn't she? I thought that
it was not only the love they shared, but the intense grief she felt at his
death; because she said that she had to pay a terrible price for her
mortality (or something like that), and then you get the scene where Robert
is shot.

This made me think, in Last Knight, that perhaps Natalie's death is actually
necessary to make Nick mortal; the rush of emotion is what does it.

(If you think he became mortal, of course.)

I caught something I'd never caught before. She said as he was dying
she tried to bring him across. But that it didn't work. She had to
have her fangs stil and be able to ingest blood for that.

I had always thought it was only thier love too but not after seeing it
the other night. If she still felt the vampire until Laroush was
dead....I find that very strange.

Yes, Janette said that, after she failed to bring Robert across, she was
overwhelmed by a torrent of emotion and the vampire left. She added that,
even though she was mortal, "the killer" remained until she took the life of
the man responsible for Robert's death, and then it, too, was gone.

I think that, given the fact that she isn't at all self-righteous about the
killing, the authors expect us to believe that she's correct in describing
"the killer" as something separate.

Janette had said that there was something special about Robert's blood, so
I suspect there was a biochemical element to her "cure"... but I'm also of
the school that believes that the strong emotions and the biochemical
reactions merely suppressed the vampire to the point where she could
function as a human and only as a human (consider the Ellen Simmons
character in "Heart of Darkness") while under the influence of these
"drugs"... but the vampire lurked beneath the surface, just awaiting the
right opportunity to resurface (e.g., rearousal by Nick).
