I heard Bach's Passacalglia in C Minor today, the music of which was
transposed from organ to orchestra for Roland Petit's Ballet "Le Jeune Homme
et La Mort" (the ballet seen at the start of Barishnykov's movie "White
Nights"). It struck me how much that ballet reminded me of Nick, and how it
would have resonated for him.

My website, which was at http//www.his.com/~eschmid/Homepage.htm has been
moved (mostly) to http://filebox.vt.edu/users/diharris/Homepage.htm

My email address has changed from dharris@h....... to diharris@v........

Please update all your links and bookmarks accordingly. My former email
address is still functional and will be for some time, so don't worry if you
send to the wrong one, I'm just trying to get everything on the same account
:)

Oh yes, and as I have just moved EVERYTHING from one server to another,
things are bound to go wrong. Let me know if you encounter any errors on my
pages.

Subject: Souvenir Playbill of Ger's appearance in Wolfville!

Posted with the List Gardener's kind permission:

Upper Canada Connection is pleased to announce that a souvenir playbill of
Ger's appearance at the Atlantic Theatre Festival is available for purchase!

In co-operation with Ger and the management of the ATF, we have created a
professional-quality souvenir playbill. For those of you who were fortunate
enough to attend GWD's one-man play "Dylan Thomas And Shakespeare: In The
Envy Of Some Greatness", it will be a wonderful way to re-live the evening,
and for those of you who weren't, it will be a way for you to experience the
magic of his performance.

It contains comments, quotes and exclusive pictures of GWD, taken during
rehearsals. It's a one-of-a-kind item, and we will be doing a limited run,
so be sure to get your order in ASAP.

We are also offering a Wolfville 2000 commemorative t-shirt featuring a
wonderful new photo of Ger.

All profits from the sale of these two items will go to benefit the Atlantic
Theatre Festival.

Subject: Is there still a chat night?

Good evening fellow groupies.

I just finished reading the quick notes about the cancelled Crusade for a
Cure convention. I can't help snickering to myself over the thought that
poor LaCroix got the cure he never wanted.

I watched part of LEXX the other night - solely because just before I
turned the station my mouth drpped open and like any "Nunkies" fan I
sqealed in delighted glee "La Croix!"

Poor Nigel Bennett...Ah well, at least I do know his name.

I watched the show with a lot of skepticism and stayed only for LaCroix
(they ditched off the real Zev when they made it a series and the first
couple of seasons were not that impressing to me.)

Anyways LaCroix just was not himself to me. Not because of the new role
that he was playing but because I couldn't console myself to the sunburn
that had pickened his skin.

He was just so...pink..ish..and red...It was WAY wrong.

Oh yeah, on to the question I did mean to ask - as you can tell from above,
I digressed. Is there still a chat night for the Forever Knight room at
the sci-fi dominion thing? I haven't been for about a year and every time
I sign on to check the room, it is woefully empty.

>> From an article I recall seeing at Sci Fi's web site, Le Femme Nikita can
also be added to the list as more episodes have been bought for next year. <<

From what I understand, this isn't exactly a true correlation. The fan
support for Nikita (which is what it's called in Canada) has always been
strong, and the producers of the show are quite aware of that. The problem
had more to do with some contract deals between the producers and the
distributors, as I understand it, and nothing at all to do with either the
cast or the fans. Those contract deals were finally ironed out, and the show
was renewed. However, there will apparently only be eight episodes made for
the fifth season. The producers, however, had *always* wanted to make a
fifth season, and the sets were never destroyed.
