Hiya........

Well, heck........here I was, minding my own business <yeah right everyone
says {g}> when I had this thing happen.

Someone mentioned to me that the FK Valentine's Day Marathon was "something
like 11 hours long." (off list this happened, obviously.....)

Then I enjoyed watching the set of GWD's intros someone made for me a while
back <waves enthusiastically!!>

Then I remembered I gave my (partial only) Valentine's Day Marathon away...I
didn't have the whole thing, it was on "EP" and besides that I have all the
eps and this person didn't have hardly any, <waves some more!!!!!!> yada,
yada, yada.....

Now I have this terrific and uncontrollable urge to "remake" the FK
Valentine's Day Marathon from my intros + eps and I don't know that the thing
I have tells all the ep titles................<argh>

Could someone please tell me what all the eps were in the Marathon and in
what order?

I just know you are all laughing at me, that's OK, I am laughing at myself.
Any and all help greatly appreciated!!!!! Thank you :>D

Forever Yours,

It was but was pulled a year or two ago. Now it will be out again! Maybe
the new copy will be better than the old one.

And even better, also on DVD.... No tape to degrade and the best quality the
film will allow.... Can't wait to see if they offer any extras on it,
perhaps an interview or commentary...or possibly even an advertisement for
the TV series.... One can only hope and dream....

Isn't that a contradiction in terms?
But I love scruffy Nick! The main reason that I failed to recognize my
Knight's physical charms for months was that I came on during the first
season when he looked like a mannequin for some Men's Fashion magazine.
Waaay too much hair spray. I don't care if it did help hide fly-by-night

> 3. Shouldn't Nick have 'refueled' before going looking for LaCroix?

Nick should not have been looking for LaCroix fueled or otherwise.
Face it, the 'fuel' would have had to have been jet fuel grade for him to
have even stood a chance. (sorry about this, Milord, but fax is fax!) Nick
should have been half way to Kansas by the time LaCroix finished signing
off.

Hopefully slapped with a lawsuit by V.A.D.D. The Vampires Against Dumb Duds

adopt a Transylvannia accent. <shudder!>

The one in Dark Knight is probably more realistic, if you look at the way the
bottom of the one in Nick Knight is shaped, it denotes a fine-ness of design
and execution that seems at odds with the pre-Columbian society. Just my
take, YMMV.

with changes in inflection it can mean several different things.

Does Canada have places where people can donate blood for scientific
research? Often, people who can't donate for transfusion use can donate for
research, and in the US, people who donate for research are frequently
given a token amount of money for their donation, as are many people who
are solicited to volunteer for medical experimentation.

Well, (1) Nick always could have used a complete set of plate armor as part
of a way of hiding from the sun in an emergency; (2) I've read or been told
somewhere -- not sure if it's fact or fiction -- that a lot of lesser
knights didn't have complete sets of armor, or matching sets, only what
they could scavenge off the dead, the dying, and the defeated on the field
of battle. In that case, the tassets might not match. (3) Combine (1) and
(2) and we have a vampiric Nick having to "hold it" until after dark...

The problem is that if the cup is *magickal*, breaking the cup would break
the magick that would transform him back into a mortal.

I will only post one of these in any 24-hour period so I don't overload the

Knight School
Episode: 102 Dark Knight Pt. 2
Prerequisites: Dark Knight Pt 1

During the following monologue, flashes of the first part of this episode
flow through the sounds...since we just had the last part, I'll just
reiterate the monologue.

LaCroix (spine-chilling Nightcrawler voice): "Do you remember, Nicholas? Do
you remember that night centuries ago? That first night when you became one
of us? Did her heart sound strong? Did it call to you and make you dizzy
with her first rush of her warm blood? <acid> How can you turn your back on
what you've been given?</acid>

What guilt is this that drives you to become an officer of the law? What
folly is this that you aspire to be mortal again? What turn of the heart
that compels you to seek mortal love? Someone's been killing the homeless
with type O blood. One of the victims had punctures in his neck. Is it me,
Nicholas? Is it you? I have the answers Nicholas...I have the other cup.
Are you coming Nicholas, I have what you want. Are you there, Nicholas?
*Are* you coming? The Nightcrawler' s waiting for you..."

---------------------
| Underground Radio |
| 490 On Your Dial |
---------------------

Nicholas B. Knight stared at the sign and looked around. LaCroix was there
(splendid in his white hair IMHO); teasing Nicholas on, forcing him to
follow, move for move. Behind Nick, Alyce follows shakily. Faster and
faster they walk, finally flying to places, causing Alyce much confusion
(okay, unless she's figured it out, but it was impressive, either way).

They end up in a green-lit kosher slaughterhouse where LaCroix helps himself
to some cow blood <ew>. He teases Nicholas with the jade cup, drinking the
blood from the cup in front of him and offering the blood to Nicholas.
LaCroix shows his bitterness at the rejection of his immortal gift to his
son and their community. Alyce watches from above and freaks out when
Nicholas vamps out. They tell her to leave, but naturally, she's not fast
enough to get away from LaCroix. He gives Nick the choice between saving
the cup or saving Alyce, and he attacks LaCroix to get him away from her.
The cup shatters.

LaCroix turns his attention to Nicholas and throws him off the balcony.
Alyce escapes and LaCroix decides to give Nicholas his mortality by killing
him and attacks him with a big cleaver. Nick wakes up and kicks LaCroix
into some metal spikes. He stares at them for a minute, feeling the spike
that's embedded in LaCroix, then he flashes back.

He's back in the flashback, LaCroix in that frilly cape, and he's telling
LaCroix that he doesn't want to be a vampire; he's changed his mind.
LaCroix talks about Nero and Rome, Genghis Khan and war, trying to talk Nick
into appreciating his gift.

Back in the present, Nick is feeling guilty *again* for destroying LaCroix
and runs out to his caddy's trunk to avoid the burning rays of the sun.
Pretty bad smoking skin (as opposed to sun burn) wafes in the morning rays.
Meanwhile LaCroix is done playing dead and although we don't see it, he
obviously gets himself down from the steel spikes. (That must have taken
some acrobatics...)

Back at that station, Alyce is calling to try to track down Nick and
Stonetree, Nat, and Schanke are also trying to figure out where he might
have gone. Stonetree answers the phone and discovers that Nick's caddy's
been impounded and sends Schanke to pick it up.

Schanke starts musing about Nick's car as he picks it up, remembering his
'good ol' days'. He takes off and decides to head toward the hospital. At
the hospital, Schanke is not getting much help from the nurse, so Nick takes
the opportunity to get out of the trunk and do his own investigation by
raiding Dr. Kipper's computer files. Fenner (TBGW-The bad guy of the week)
shows up and asks about Schanke's caddy keys...giving him the idea to go
find said car and make sure it disables the driver to throw him off the
trail.

Nick gets his info and heads back down to the parking lot and into the
trunk, just in time to hear Fenner jingling his keys and cutting the break
line. (Now that's fast.) Schanke leaves the not-helping nurse and drives
off, polka music blaring all the way. Nick, in the trunk, *next to* the
speakers, isn't very happy about this (who could blame him?). (Note to self:
don't leave copies of keys with anyone anymore.)

Schanke's driving down the road apiece and he discovers brakes don't work
well after they've been cut - the hard way. Nick is getting jostled around
in the trunk; trying to hold the hood closed so the sun's killing rays don't
penetrate his steel monster.

Back at the museum, Alyce is still trying to track Nick down. (C'mon, how
often would you call a guy back who you suspected was a blood-sucking
creature of the night? NAers, don't answer that :-)) She remembers the
alarm code numbers Nick had referenced when they first met and looked his
name up in the book. (Again, *I* would have an unlisted number.)

Schanke discovers the repairs are *humongous* and starts to realize that
Nick is going to be really um, *upset*. Getting out the trunk, Nick
confronts Schanke who cowers (did you ever notice people do that all the
time around Nick? Stonetree did it when he gave Nick his new partner.)
Nick is really upset about the car, but gives Schanke an apology about the
case.

Nick starts to really get sick (stomach pains?) because he's so hungry and
hasn't fed in awhile. (Again, would it have been that hard to make a
2-minute pit stop at the Raven?)

Alyce finds Nick's loft and invites herself in with the alarm code numbers.
Behind her, a shadow moves toward the door.

They take off in Schanke's (?) car and he prods Nick for more info on his
relationship with "Alyce". Nick tries to brush it off...on the radio we
hear that someone is standing in for the Nightcrawler and he wants said
creature of the night to call in and tell them how he is, they're worried
about him. This makes Nick feel pretty good, thinking maybe he got him for
good (ha!).

Alyce discovers Jeannie in Nick's elevator, beaten and bruised. She helps
her up and tries to make her comfortable on Nick's couch. She calls
paramedics and identifies Nick's loft as "101 Gateway".

Nick and Schanke scope out the hospital and try to determine just who the
bad guy is. They find out Fenner's had problems, his mother died from TB
contracted from hepatitis-infected blood after a car accident. They
discover that Mr. Fenner's motive is that he doesn't want the street people
to be able to donate 'ever again', so he kills them, taking their blood and
probably pretending it was donated blood.

Nick is still feeling pains, especially when he sees the cooler of blood
bags in front of him. (Now would be the perfect time to scarf one down, but
naturally, he doesn't.) He stalls and calls home to get his messages. He
finds out Alyce is at his house and the 'paramedics' are there for Jeannie,
but it's really Fenner.

He runs out of the hospital, telling Schanke to meet him at the loft, and
then he takes off into the Toronto night, flying over the city to reach his
abode. Schanke calls it in, "He told me to meet him at his place and then
he flew out of here..." (so true).

Fenner knocks Alyce over and her movement dumps lots of flammable painting
material on the floor. Jeannie wakes up and deathly frightened, she waves a
broom at Fenner. Deciding a broom isn't very intimidating; she puts it on
fire from the fireplace and then pokes at him again. He grabs it from her
and drops it (as it happens, on the flammable material). The loft starts to
burn.

Nick crashes into the loft, fangs bared, eyes blazing and throws Fenner
(when he could have taken him out). He gets Jeannie to leave for her own
safety then jumps the flames to get to Alyce.

Glass shatters and LaCroix takes Fenner out. (Strange sense of justice, I
suppose). Then he licks his finger (*ooohhh, chills*), and begins to taunt
Nicholas again. Nick's hunger causes a cramp again and he tries to fight
it. Alyce offers herself to him to help him (and make her immortal,
although with his track record, I wouldn't.) He refuses and confronts
LaCroix with a flaming piece of wood, burning his cheek ("That hurt!").
LaCroix gets Nick down, but not out, and goes after Alyce. He whispers
things to her and then sinks his fangs. He is distracted at that *critical*
point by Nick and his flaming stake. He gets it in the chest, a little
lower than the heart (no, really, I mean it) and we hear a soft "whoosh"
when Nick isn't looking. (I swear, I heard a whoosh.)

Nick holds the now *dead* (ahem) Alyce and feels the guilt wash over him.

Later on, the next night, we see the now donated cup marked "In memory of
Alyce Hunter" and Nick and Nat discuss the seductiveness of immortality and
the inability to love. We find out that Nat gave Nick a transfusion so he
wouldn't starve to death. Schanke interrupts and they head out of the
museum...we find out that the transfusion was from Schanke...Nick isn't too
happy about this, and Nat finds it really amusing. (I find this really
amusing, but highly unlikely since he gave blood with Fenner not too long
ago.)

Schanke wonders why Fenner was missing 2 pints of blood when they found him
and Nick proposes the 'evaporation from the fire' theory, which Schanke
swallows, hook, line and sinker. He goes to have a smoke and they
discourage him "fastest way to a coffin". And he complains that they have
no idea what it's like to live with an addiction.

As they leave, we see someone watching them from above...it's Alyce, vamped
out and glorious. She lightly pushes the glass and flies off into the
night.

1. Why did they decide to make Schanke even more annoying by changing "Papa
mow mow" to polka music? (Although, polka music does suit Schanke more...)

2. How *did* LaCroix get out of this one?

3. Why is it that Nat didn't get Alyce's body on her table, or at least
wonder where the body went?

4. Where *did* they get that ring LaCroix was wearing?

5. And did LC have to *tease* us by licking his fingers? (Wait, you can
refuse not to answer that one, I know some of you are more interested in
Nick and his scruffy look <g> *And* that some of you were entranced by
Schanke's <um> Polka <?> look.)

6. And where did Alyce go, anyway? I mean, it would have been great had
she shown up in Killer Instinct, you know, with LC, it would have made the
whole thing a little more believable IMHO.

WOW, that one musta taken some time to write, eh? My hat is officially off :>D

1. Why did they decide to make Schanke even more annoying by changing "Papa
mow mow" to polka music? (Although, polka music does suit Schanke more...)

Because they wanted to do just that, make Schanke even *more* <g> annoying,
and I agree that Polka music suits him better. Sure did get a kick outta
Papa Oo Mow Mow," before though........Did we ever get to see Shcanke *dance*
the Polka? If so, I never saw it....would have been a hoot!

2. How *did* LaCroix get out of this one?

The very question I would have asked. I'm going with Anne-Rician canon on
this--ie: LC is too old and powerful to be killed pretty much **at all** (I
think LC refers to this somewhere in the beginning of Season Two? I could be
wrong <g>). Lestat (the Anne Rician thing, and no I am not spelling her name
wrong, I am doing that on purpose--hey it's 3:00 am here <lol>) was too
powerful to die even when he exposed himself to the sun because he had shared
blood with one of the "Original" Vampires...the oldest in the known universe.
LC having become a Vamprie in Roman times makes him pretty danged old, <g>
and **certainly** he is powerful!! Why, just listen to that *voice* <weg>!

3. Why is it that Nat didn't get Alyce's body on her table, or at least
wonder where the body went?

Maybe Nick told her what happened while we were enjoying a lovely commercial
break from our Sponsors? <g>

4. Where *did* they get that ring LaCroix was wearing?

UHOH, I feel a Brain Freeze coming on........is that the same one he wears (I
think) throughout the series? Maybe he took it from one of his victims long
ago...no....had to be more special than that since (again, I think) he wears
it so much (or am I thinking of the wrong ring?)

5. And did LC have to *tease* us by licking his fingers? (Wait, you can
refuse not to answer that one, I know some of you are more interested in Nick
and his scruffy look <g> *And* that some of you were entranced by Schanke's
<um> Polka <?> look.)>>

See me waving hand in air <GGGGGG> as being more interested in Nick's scruffy
look!! But I won't refuse to answer. Why did LC do that? ***Because he
can*** and what is more, he likes doing that sort of thing <lol> IMHO, YVMV.

6. And where did Alyce go, anyway? I mean, it would have been great had she
shown up in Killer Instinct, you know, with LC, it would have made the whole
thing a little more believable IMHO.

YUP, where did she go, I mean, fledging and even older Vampires in FK canon
don't seem to stray *too* far from their Masters unless they are destroyed.
Seems like she would either have to have been offed, <g> or they should have
brought her back for at least an ep here and there (like Killer Instinct) to
make it more credible, yes!

Everybody have a great day, thanks for the great synopsis and questions, CRB!
I am off to get some shut eye finally <g>.

Don't know the original song, but Nick's reaction shots were well worth
changing it to polka. Though, since he was unlikely to leave the car
running all day while he's hiding in the trunk, why does he have speakers
back there?

>2. How *did* LaCroix get out of this one?

IMNSHO, he didn't. He was dead, he even haunted Nick a bit. Then the
writers decided to bring him back, but couldn't be bothered to even come up
with a Cheesy explanation for it. (This is a major pet peeve of mine.)

>3. Why is it that Nat didn't get Alyce's body on her table, or at least

I don't remember anything in the ep. indicating that she didn't know. If
so, all Alyce had to do, was lie very still 'til she got to the morgue, and
Nat could fake the results.

The costume dept., probably

Or Vachon and his scruffy look. So what if he wasn't in season one.

Why would she be hanging out with Lacroix? There's nothing to indicate he
was the one who brought her across. My guess is that Nick's guilt caused
him to do it, and she discovered the best way to survive as one of his
children, hit the road as soon as possible.

Writing a lot of HTML, Raven? Nice notation, however. Nice way to convey an
emotional response. Especially in an episode guide.

This was done so that Snix Co. could issue their best seller:
Schanke's Polka Party. What can I say, the lady has pull.

Remerez (Sean Connery) from HighLander phrased it best: "Who Knows? It
is just Magic."

Well, Natalie isn't the only coroner in Toronoto. She can't get
all the dead bodies in the city as "customers".

There is a great piece of fan fiction waiting to be written on this
one. Where did Alyce go? And where did LaCroix go? (I know
the answer to the second one, just need to write it down).

I just wanted to take a moment to say how *much* I appreciate this whole
idea! Although I have most of the episodes on tape, I rarely have time to
sit and watch them all from beginning to end and I am thoroughly enjoying
being able to read the summaries and everyone's opinions and comments on the
eps!

Cousin Raven, you're doing a *great* job!!! Thank you!! :o)

Not wanting to offend anyone here, but I didn't interperet this as 'flaming
the Caddy'. I've worked in the automotive industry since '87. I had an
ex-boyfriend that was heavily into Car Shows and restoration and I've gotten
to know alot of people who love modifying the old Classics. Lowering a car
'until the rocker-panels rub' can actually look incredibly impressive when
done right and also is usually a rather expensive process. So, instead of
taking these comments as an insult to *our* Caddy, I understood this to be
an expression of a personal opinion of what would really look "cool" on a
Caddy. Any Caddy.

MY personal opinion.....I like the green. It's different. I like being
different. Black can be so overdone.

I think we should REALLY flame the Caddy. I think the addition of purple flames
applied to the hood and sides would look kewl, to say the least!

Shiny, pretty, h'az h'uz Ratpacker-toypes would jammy-jam.
