I'm still hoping to see this happen (would love to replace all my
copies taped off the SFC with professional copies), but, unfortunately
a release on DVD isn't likely to happen anytime soon. Columbia
Tristar has indicated that they are not currently releasing television
series to DVD, but are waiting for a greater market for TV series on
DVD. This info came to light in a chat between a representative from
Columbia Tristar and members of the Home Theater Forum back in April.
This info was in response to a question from one of the Forum members
about a particular series he wanted to see released to DVD. The
response from C/T:

Quote: "TV is slow to develop in the format so far. There are a lot
of TV shows out there on DVD, but few are selling, so we're going to
let the market demand increase before jumping into those waters" End
quote.

Other studios are releasing TV series to DVD, but unfortunately C/T
isn't among them. It's frustrating to see series that were on
television for less time than FK released to both video and DVD, and
FK hasn't even been released to video yet! I wonder how FK would have
been handled if a different studio had the rights?

Note that the above information doesn't apply to video -- the Home
Theater Forum chat with C/T regards DVD releases only.

OK. I'll admit it. There is still one program on Sci-Fi that I will watch.
(Now that I am admitting it, they will immediately take it off.) Every
Mon-Thur as I get ready for work, I have "Starship Troopers" on in the
room, because the CGI totally fascinates me. A few mornings ago I was
actually paying attention to the credits and guess who the Asst.
(Something) is?

Tracy Balthazar.

I wonder if she is kin to Grace, or if they got her name wrong and it
should have been Vetter....

Hello!

I am trying to figure out how to vote on this thing, and I can't get
it.... perhaps I'm missing something important?

I registered like I was supposed to so that I could be high level to
vote.... and now I can't vote! How messed up is that?? ;o)

All you have to do to vote is go to this address:

http://www.global100.com/vote.asp?Chart=6

Make sure Forever Knight is selected to add to your votes. Then type in your
e-mail and password to vote. If you still have trouble e-mail the webmaster
telling them the problem.

If you're not on HIGH level you can increase your level on your Personal
Card. This is where you can store information about yourself. Some of this
data is used in the voting process to improve the quality of the charts.
When you're new you start at the Low level. You can increase your level when
your email address has been verified. The higher your level the more weight
your votes have in the charts. If you answer the questions about your
'gender', 'birthday', 'location' and 'public address', you will get a High
level.

Hope this helps!
Kristin

Subject: Re: Nick's whereabouts

with all the posts on when Nick was in Chicago (b/c I asked!) i remembered
i had the *timeline* (done by "Amy R., Cynthia Hoffman, Lisa McDavid
and others"). I pulled that baby out, and this is what it says about the
timeframe we've been talking about:
1954 Chicago (Spin Doctor)
1960 Greenwich Village, NYC (Close Call)
1966 East Berlin (1966)
1964-68 Chicago (Amateur Night, Beyond the Law)
1971 South Vietnam (Can't Run, Can't Hide)
c. 1975 LaCroix tells Nick this is when Janette came to Toronto (BB1)
c. 1989 Nick tells Janette this is when he came to Toronto (DK1)

So it does seem that our crusader has a thing for Chicago. He was there in
'54, and we know that after that, he was in NYC long enough to get a
driver's license there. But then, despite leaving Chicago on bad terms
with some people, he was back in ten years. He was there for about 4
years, during which he took a trip to East Berlin (wasn't that specifically
to find the Arabat?), then came back empty-handed, presumably returning to
his job at the CPD. By '71 he was in Vietnam, but does that mean he was
possibly in Chicago until 71? And it looks like we don't know his
whereabouts until he showed up in Toronto in '89.
I also hadn't realized Janette had been there for over 10 years by the time
Nick arrived.
Well, that's my lesson for today. and thanks to the writers of the
timeline for it!! (glad i remembered i had it!)

Subject: Blitz for the Knight Day 11

It's day 10 of the Feedback Blitz!! Go ahead and e-mail the two powers that
be below asking for what you desire in the Knight (you can also re-use your
letters for this 2 week blitz)...

1. Sci-fi: feedback@w.......

2. Tristar/Sony: http://www.spe.sony.com/spe/help_feedback_index.html

..................................................
Forget what the blitz is about? Read below:

It looks like these blitzes we have been doing are getting some attention!
So we at KtK, are going to turn them into a monthly routine. This month we
are focusing on the two main powers, Tristar and Sci-fi.

Its going to be a double dose of e-mails from each of you the fans that
would love to not only have FK back on Sci-fi's schedule, but want to make
sure everyone knows that we are want more FK with the original cast in new
episodes and or movies!! So, what do you say? Are you ready to sit down,
take that few minutes and send off two e-mails? It could make all the
difference in the world!

Remember, say a little or say a lot, but say it!! We can make more FK
happen!!!

June 12th, through June 24th, we are asking everyone to blitz both
feedbacks!!! For the two weeks, you can re-use the e-mails you did before,
or write new ones. They can be long, or as short as just saying, "Bring Back
Forever Knight."

ALSO REMEMBER!! Sci-fi will be changing its schedule around in June, and
again in the fall.... lets make sure that we get Forever Knight on!!!

Sci-Fi's E-mail: feedback@w.......

Sony/Tristar Mail Form: http://www.spe.sony.com/spe/help_feedback_index.html

When e-mailing TriStar,(especially) give as much personal info as you
can...rather than just an e-mail name. A bit more personal carries more
weight with TPTB.

I also made a button/banner for the upcoming blitzing, which you can use to
help spread the word, by putting this on your site (you can get off my save
fk page).

Subject: Results of the UCC Celebration of GWD Weekend

Posted with McLisa's kind permission.

Just a quick announcement to let everyone know the results of our first
annual 'Upper Canada Celebration Weekend'. A number of people have written
and asked how we did, so we thought we would post the results to the various
lists, my apologies to those who receive this more than once.

Our final total (from the auctions, t-shirt sales, etc.) is
C$3,513.27 or approximately US$2300. We want to say a huge "thank
you!" to our guests who made this weekend such a wonderful success.

We will be posting more details of the Weekend and its events to our
UCC website in the weeks to come, so drop by frequently to see what's
new! See the URL in my sig, below

Also, because of the many donations received from Ger's generous fans, we
ended up with too many items to auction 'live'. Therefore, this
announcement also serves as a way to let everyone know that we will be
running an Internet Auction in the very near future. We have many wonderful
and unique items to offer for sale, so stay tuned! :-) Of course, proceeds
from this auction, as well as from the weekend events, will be donated to
The Hospital For Sick Children in honour of Geraint Wyn Davies.

Subject: Ooh Cool! FK's Climbing Again!! :)

Hey guys!

Guess what?! FK's #6 now!! We must have gotten some NEW voters! And/or new
High Level voters! Very good!!

Want to vote to enforce the position? Go here:

http://www.global100.com/vote.asp?Chart=6

THINGS TO KNOW WHEN VOTING:

#1. IMPORTANT: Those of you who are not on "High Levels" please simply
answer your questions on the personal card about gender, birth, etc. It's
very simple and does not take long and it REALLY helps your weight on the
charts! If every one can get up to HIGH level, it can really help FK's
position! If you have questions about this please feel free to ask me by
e-mail (kris1228@s.......).

#2. NEW VOTERS: We REALLY need NEW voters who have never voted for FK before
on the chart. Please, if you have not voted before click on the address
below, and then click I'm a New User. Then follow the easy rules to sign up.
We really need you! (and don't forget this chart is sent in to TPTB monthly
with the petitions!)

The DON'T's::

#1. DON'T repeat with multiple e-mail addresses either! They reconize your
ISP addresses and it will do more damage than good, lowering weight of all
your votes.

#2. DON'T be an Anonymous! Please actually sign up and follow the easy steps
to become a much better HIGH voter.

Well, that's it! Just wanted to tell you all the good news! :)
Kristin
