Is the public library system in T.O. the same as it is in the U.S. as far as someone being able to work in a public library as a volunteer? I need to know this in order to make sure that a part of the plot makes sense. Many thanks in advance. :) Steph "Mom" of the DFKS www.eGroups.com/Writer's Lair (new AOL homepage coming soon...) The motto for the Ontario coroners is "We speak for the dead to protect the living." It's displayed on a large sign somewhere indoors near the chief coroner's office; I saw it quickly flash by on a TV show (_Exhibit A_ on TLC) in which he was interviewed. Just FYI. While flying out of the airport in Lexington I saw a beanie camel. Apparantly it's part of the ty 2000 line. It's got a fuzzy hump. Being the loyal vaquera that I am, I had to get one. I named it tracy, in honor of Vachon's favorite camel from the war. It's now sitting in my livingroom next to my husband's stuffed duck. -- Tracy Sue Vaquera http://members.xoom.com/tracysue1/Library.html fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to cooler costumes, better weapons and your own Estrogen Brigade. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Jun 2000 10:37:49 -0500 From: Felicia Olivier <museclio3@h.......> Subject: Re: FK ALUMNI ALERT!!! ----- Original Message ----- From: MrsMech@a....... That's cool to know. There's a motto for homicide detectives too, it's rather widespread, but I don't know if they use it in Toronto. I've seen it on T-shirts for Chicago and L.A. cops. It's: "Homicide: Our day begins when your day ends." The first time I heard it I laughed out loud...I've seen it on some items on Ebay, too. Go ahead and e-mail the two powers that be below asking for what you desire in the Knight (you can also re-use your letters for this 2 week blitz)... 1. Sci-fi: feedback@w....... 2. Read below: It looks like these blitzes we have been doing are getting some attention! So we at KtK, are going to turn them into a monthly routine. This month we are focusing on the two main powers, Tristar and Sci-fi. Its going to be a double dose of e-mails from each of you the fans that would love to not only have FK back on Sci-fi's schedule, but want to make sure everyone knows that we are want more FK with the original cast in new episodes and or movies!! So, what do you say? Are you ready to sit down, take that few minutes and send off two e-mails? It could make all the difference in the world! Remember, say a little or say a lot, but say it!! We can make more FK happen!!! June 12th, through June 24th, we are asking everyone to blitz both feedbacks!!! For the two weeks, you can re-use the e-mails you did before, or write new ones. The addresses I have bounce. Primarily, I'd like to let them know how involving, insightful and intelligent I found their stories, but I'd also like to ask their permission to recommend their pieces in the monthly fanfic project on my FK site. Gisele Marie Baxter, "The Price of Silence" (on the FTP site: <ftp://ftp.win.net/winnet/fkvoyage/fkfanfic/miscellaneous>, then scroll down to <price_of_silence.gbaxter>) Sarah Welsh, "Rarely-Beloved" (on Mel's site: <http://www.fkfanfic.com/fanfic/r/rare1109.txt>) Katherine Scarrit, "Serpent's Tooth" (on Mel's site: <http://www.fkfanfic.com/fanfic/s/serp1429.txt>) If you know an address for any of these excellent authors more recent than that posted with her FK stories, would you please consider either forwarding this post to her, or emailing me with the address off-list? (I'm currently no-mail here on forkni-l; I'm only mail on fkfic-l.) Thank you very much!
