And between Divia's decapitation and LaCroix's scorch incident, we
know that even these aren't 100% effective. The only would-be-dead vampires who
didn't have a representative popping up again were those incinerated by the sun
(Assuming Erica's ghost doesn't count).

Subject: Another Knight?
Back in 1994, there was another show about a knight called The Wanderer which
starred Bryan Brown. In this case, Bryan Brown played Adam who was the
reincarnation of a medieval knight and his evil twin brother Zachary, both in
seek of a sword with special properties. There was action, timetravel and
sorcery as part of the storyline. I've been trying for a couple of years to
think of what this series was and just tracked it down. It was an excellent
show, but only lasted for 13 episodes. Why is this relevant? Somewhere in
the back of my mind it occurred to me that this might make for an interesting
crossover with our vampire knight. If anyone knows where I could come up
with copies to refresh my memory or remembers more details than I do, please
contact me offlist. Thanks.

Exactly. I think LC would find it all rather amusing. This was a Ballet so
it's not quite the same as a play.<g> You never know it may even be quite
good...for an ignorant mortal production, of course.<eg>
Maybe it's the sort of thing he would take Nick to, just to watch his
reaction.<g>

Which sets me to wondering...if a person is color-blind before being
brought over, is that "cured" or does the person remain color-blind? In
which case Screed had better be real sure that the blue wire really _is_
the blue one...Unless, of course, Nick is color-blind. (This case could be
supported by some of the horrid shirts that they made him wear.) :)

True, although we also know that Nick isn't the only vampire with a
"mortal" job, in contact with humans nightly. The tattle-taling video
editor in UTV, for example (Danny, I think...?), also appears to be
passing as mortal. So passing and being surrounded by mortals every
night doesn't seem to be a no-no.
On the other hand, one might say a TV station employee would be
less likely to get shot in the head and thereby risk exposing his ...
alternate nature. (Then again, I've had some small experience with
video editing, and it could be enough to evoke the beast in even me <g>.)
Or wait -- I might have conspiracy cheese: maybe video guy *was* in
trouble with the Enforcers, and turned Nick in as part a play for leniency.

I've often wondered (and read discussion here) about that.
Is the cure against the Code? According to dialogue in The Fix,
others wouldn't be happy about what Nick's doing with the drug. Who
are these others? Enforcers? The local Community?
The Canadian equivalent of the Food and Drug Agency?
If it is the Enforcers, Nick could really be walking a dangerous
path, as far as that goes.

Although LC couldn't even haul his own bacon out of the fire in the UTV
flashbacks.... Do you suppose that it, perhaps, was an act for Nick's benefit?

I've always thought that should Nick regain mortality it would be a very
short stint. Forget that "he knows too much...". Nick would be killed just
for setting a bad example to the young'ns, and because people (and I think
vampires are a lot like mortals) hate the loner.

If it's the Houston Ballet's production of "Dracula" they absolutely got it
wrong. I saw it with 2 other FK fans when it was in Washington DC and all
we could think was "Parriott and company did a much better job" :-)
However, I think LaCroix would have gone just to annoy Nick both about
going - I don't think Nick has been to the ballet since that unfortunate
incident with Sylvaine - and about how badly mortals understand vampires.

It is DAY 4 of the Triple TPTB Feedback Blitz! It is time to once
