Hi -

I'd like to take a moment to thank all of those who read FK FanFic, and
congratulate all who write FK FanFic. You make it fun.

Because Nick <Kyer scowls at her Milord's office desk> seems to have
*misplaced* his vampire technical help rolodex...

Would someone using Win95 who knows how to look up what different files are
opened up with, and who hasn't added any office or photo junk to their
computer, **please** look up what Mr. Microsoft orignally planned for jpg,
gif, bmp, and other pic files to be opened up with? So Kyer can get her
Nick pics de-hostage-ized from the evil Enforcer 'Polaroid'? And get back
to writing her fic? Oh...offlist please!

This is a request for ALL of you who entered the Raven Awards this year!
Could you please help me out by sending me a full/one bit version of your
stories (just those of more than 3 parts). It would help me out time wise a
lot, that way I can get the archives up and running asap.

Many thanks,
Kylie.

While I will admit that I know nothing about Susan Pierce's condition, as a
registered nurse for 25 years I KNOW the doctors had nothing to do with her
hospital stay being a fiasco. While there are some things that can be done
for some strokes, the fact of the matter is that once God has chosen that
path for you there is nothing that we as mortals can do for it. Some people
are responsive to therapy and I hope that this is the case, but on the whole
there is little that can be done to that damage that a stroke has caused to
the tissue in the brain.

I am sorry for Susan Pierce, but I felt I had to take doctors off the god
pedastal we've put them on. That's part of the reason for the state of
health care management we're in. The are no cures for some of our ailments,
instant or otherwise. We just have to learn to adapt.

This has only to do with the website owners. If you don't own a fk website,
please skip this.

I don't want to say which site I just ran into, because I'm sure some under
age people might be reading this, but If you all would run and check your
websites?

A rather extemely distasteful (and obviously pea-brained, sicko troglyte)
has hacked into an fk site. You'll want to start fixing the damage asap.

A thoroughly disgusted,

I just hope she realizes that if she goes through physical therapy there is a
good chance her life will improve. It will never be like it was, but it can
improve. The more she does, the more she uses the affected side, the better it
will get. It will be slow and very frustrating, and she will wonder what might
have been, but it can get better. She also needs to realize that she has
friends who will support her.

Sorry if you get this more than once!

Help the newbie! I haven't watched Lexx b/c the promos on Sci Fi looked
lame, but now I hear NB is gonna be on several episodes. I went to the Sci
Fi site, but it didn't give a good low-down on the show. Anyone wanna help
me? Which season is now being shown? I've heard our man will show up in
the 3rd season -- when are they expected to be shown? Are the eps out of
order, as I've heard? I know there are web sites out there, but since I'll
be trying to catch the eps on the Sci Fi Network, I need one that has a
good tie-in with that network. I saw some ep photos on NB's website, and
he looked GOOD!

Thanks,
Portia

Subject: Question for fanfiction

I was recently struck with a good idea for another story, but I was
wondering if anyone could help me out with some information that I need.
Are computer crimes investigated at the local level at all (as in with city
law enforcement)? Does it depend on the crime? I've been checking around
and it looks like the F.B.I. handles most of it in the United States. Does
anyone know about Canada?

Thanks in advance!

Subject: New home for my fanfic and a YKYB, too...

(de-lurking for a bit....)

Hello! :)

I'm pleased to announce a new archive for my fanfic. It's the "Writer's Cube"
site at eGroups.com.

Just point your browser to www.eGroups.com, sign in, and go to the "MyGroups"
page, then click onto the link that will take you to the "Writer's Cube" site.

I've reposted my 1997 FK story, "Shadows From The Past" at Writer's Cube.
It's been rewritten and edited for clarity, and to correct several errors in
grammar, spelling and punctuation that were found in the original version. I
plan to post my other FK stories there in the near future, along with 3
crossover stories that are currently in the works, including a
Poltergeist:the Legacy/FK crossover.

Now for that YKYB...

While doing some research for a Vampire: the Masquerade/FK crossover story
that I'm working on, I came across an interesting item in the "Guide to the
Camarilla", which is a guide book to the ruling sect of vampires in the
Vampire: the Masquerade role-playing game. In the glossary of words that the
Kindred use to communicate with each other, I found this entry...

"Valentine: The mortal lover of a Kindred, usually the source of much angst."

Hmmmmm... makes me wonder if the writers of Vampire: the Masquerade saw BMV?
<chuckle>
