Brenda F. Bell wrote: Sounds like you guys are casting for the FK
sequel/spinoff, "After the Knight". Carla Martinek added: "Said program

Llarian chimed in with "And don't forget the 3rd show, where a pair of
vampire private investigators (Teresa and J. Diego Valdez) hunt
criminals in New York City."

This is marvelous. They could all air in the same time slot in turn, the
way the mysteries "Columbo," "McLoud" and "McMillan and Wife" did when
they first came out on TV.

How about if Nick brings Nat across and they become
private detectives, á la Nick and Nora Charles?

I swear, its a plot.
Computers are really aliens from the planet Migrainsarus, come to take over

Hold onto your sanity, there Listmommy.
I'd loan you some of mine, but its already run screaming into the hills for
points unknown.

As for Forever Knight spinoffs, I'd love one that features the Enforcers
going after idiot politicians. Or maybe something on the line of C.O.P.'s?

*chuckle* And their little dog, Schanke. (Sorry, I've been
affected by the "Schanke-as-werewolf" fan fics.)

I wouldn't really picture Nick and Nat as Nick and Nora.
*chuckle* Nick and Vachon as the Hardy Boys and Nat
(or Tracy) as Nancy Drew?

Vachon and Screed as the Hardy Boys

Tracy as Nancy Drew

Schanke as Colombo

Nick and Nat as Nick as NIck and Nora (heck, the names are 3/4 there)

Uncle as umm...uhh......a Spike/Angel combo <JUST KIDDING>.

Hey all -
Did anyone catch Blu Mankuma on "First Wave" Saturday ? He had a prominent
guest star spot. And was a cop - so much for typecasting. Too bad his
character died in the end.

Enjoyed seeming him again. Was waiting for him to say "Get this guy off my
streets, people!"

As I recall, Deb said that she wouldn't do HF for third season unless Ger
directed it. If we got a movie deal, is it possible that Ger might be able
to convince her to do it?

Fanfic stories provide several fine examples of characters to play opposite
LC:

1) Barbara Vainio's character Charlotte Jefferys, who fell in love with LC
but was brought across by Nick during the American revolution--talk about
complicated relationships! (http://www.fkfanfic.com/fanfic/c/char3082.txt).

2) Kalmia, a prostitute from Pompeii who was brought across & tortured by
Divia, unbeknownst to her patron & lover, LC (also by Barbara
Vainio--http://www.fkfanfic.com/fanfic/o/olda3170.txt).

3) Jordan, a female mortal loved by LC (from Kylie Coleman-Tucker's Nicky
series).

I can see any of these characters as an asset to a future FK series.

Your humble & obedient servant,
Angela Gottfred

After having seen the ep of the "X Files" that was done in C.O.P.'s format,
this definitely has potential.

"COPS"-like spinoff:

Have you forgotten the "Unreality TV" ep of FK (or have you had the chance
to see it)? That's the one in which Nick and Schanke are profiled on a
COPS-like TV show, and the cameraman gets Nick flying on tape...

It's the one episode where we actually see Enforcers.

I LOVE the idea of Barb's characters, Kalmia and Charlotte, as new
characters for a spinoff show! (Of course, I am her beta reader, and get to
find out everything that Charlotte is up to before anyone else...I'm just a
little prejudiced.) Hey Listmommy, do I get my fangs filed with a dull
pumice stone for sticking out my tongue and saying "Nanny nanny nanny nanny
nyahnyah?"

OK, I'm remembering a story from a while back where Nat was brought
across, I think, by Janette. I remember her living in what was almost a
vampire hotel... learning her new vampire skills, etc. Making a
rather sloppy first kill by a strip mall parking lot...

All this without Nick knowing.

And I think it was a LONG story.

Anyone know what story I'm thinking of?

I'm reading a story from fkfanfic while I'm taking a break here at work
for a few minutes, and someone comes around and leaves a flyer on my
desk with the title,

                 "got blood?"

It's for our spring blood drive. Can't help but chuckle at the irony of
it.
