Subject: OT but Yay! Woohoo! After one of the driest winters on record (which is saying a lot for Arizona) we here in Arizona's mile-high city have eight inches o' snow on the ground. Wahoo! I've already been busy, snapping pics with my nifty new Nikon 110 zoomy camera. Yeehaw! We were under very real threat of brush fire here, they have already had some fires in Southern Arizona, but now the threat is abated. :: whistling "Winter Wonderland" :: <bg> Laurie of the Isles Prescott, AZ ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Mar 2000 10:44:56 -0500 From: mclisa@m....... Subject: Three movie deal!! Not that I know of. But at least you're paying attention, whereas I'm having my doubts from recent list content that many people are aware of rule 7. This is important as McLisa may get bloodyminded and start enforcing. <evil grin> -----Original Message----- >>For information on managing your subscription and on listserv commands, please see Don Fasig's page http://www.geocities.com/Athens/7139/fk-lists.htm 1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST MAY BE PERMANENT. 2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post in replying. If you have more than one point to answer, then you may quote the relevant four lines for that point also. 3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of text, your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of the six line limit. If you have one of those services that insists on putting an advertising tag on the end of posts, don't worry. I realize you can't control that and it doesn't count as part of your sig. 4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to the person who wrote the post you are answering. 5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the listowners, Lisa McDavid, mclisa@m....... or Don Fasig, phase3@g....... for permission. 6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew, staff and producers in connection with what they're doing now or have done in the past are ok. Vampires in general are _NOT_ ok except in relation to Forever Knight. 7. Off-topic posts are not allowed, no matter what they are about or how urgent the warning may appear. If you have an off-topic post which you think should appear on the list, ask one of the owners for permission. 8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic. Occasionally one of the fan club presidents will make an announcement, but other than that, we leave the cast their privacy. 9. Con announcements must come from con officials or a designated liaison and must be kept brief. Cons are only announced on list if there is a connection to FK. 10. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may make announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff, before said projects have been released or written about in the media. 11. No role-playing on Forkni-l. This includes no character names as pseudonyms or posing as a character. 12. Each subscriber is limited to five posts per day on Forkni-l. I'll be happy to explain the reason for any of the above if asked. Thanks! Cousin McLisa (Lisa McDavid) "That will be Trouble." mclisa@m....... You know, it just occured to me how important rule number one is to this list. Flames are dangerous for vampires. I mean, look what Nick did to LaCroix! Flaming stake! OUCH! Anyone who'd dare toss flaming stakes on a Forever Knight list deserves to be punished. No telling which vampire might get turned into a flaming pile of ... vampire leavings. --Libs ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Mar 2000 11:29:48 -0500 From: Rebecca Burns <raburns@v.......> Subject: Congratulations Will, Bouncin' Becky here. Congratulations to you and Lynn! This is wonderful news to hear! I recently got engaged myself on New Year's Day. He's not a fellow FK fan but he's okay with me being one. We're planning on getting married in September. I wish you two all the best. Becky raburns@v....... ---------------------- I'd like to announce the upcoming wedding of two longtime friends and FK fans. This summer, I will marry the lovely and talented and sweet and intelligent Dr. Lynn Messing, known around FK circles as a Knightie and filk writer. (Who ever said that you can't put a Cousin and a Knightie together?) Lynn and I met during the 1996 "Shrewthering festival" in Toronto. As one of nine tourists participating in a harrowing three-car tour of FK sites, Lynn was the unwitting victim of her tour guide's heinous act of harrassment. (Translation: I swept her up off her feet during the taking of a picture in front of, you guessed it, the loft). Although I have on occasion flirted with tourists and on some rare occasions gotten myself into hot water for it :-), normally I don't usually "cross the line" between tourist and tour guide by picking them up (literally or figuratively), so I can't actually explain what got into me, other than perhaps some strange urge to test out my recent weightlifting programme. :-) Evidently, my "sweep her off her feet" parlour trick must have made a good impression, because: 1) She didn't slap me; 2) She didn't file charges; 3) She didn't sue me; and 4) We ended up becaming pen-pals afterwards. For almost three years, she managed to put up with my slow-as-molasses e-mail replies (the term "Speed Of Will" evolved at some point during this time). For some strange reason that I have yet to understand, she made a not-so-coy pass at me in a Christmas card, and we decided to "go steady" around Valentine's Day of 1999. I proposed to her this most recent Valentine's Day in the hoity-toity Green Room of the duPont Hotel in Wilmington, Delaware, which drew clapping from the dinner crowd, an embarrassed bow from yours truly, followed by a great deal of giggling from the crowd (doh!!!). The wedding is scheduled for this July, and will likely be a small affair (so to speak). Cheers, W. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Mar 2000 12:39:26 -0500 From: Rosemary Beard <rjb1274@a.......> Subject: Re: Announcing The Engagement of Two Long-Time FK Fans At 09:18 PM 3/4/00 -0800, Cousin Mary wrote: >FK brings together yet another happy couple...
