...When you're watching a commercial for something or the other and
realize that the characters are watching a football game called the
"Rodent Bowl" and you try to figure out whether Screed would be the head
coach of one of the teams or if he would just be getting material at
various swap meets for little ratsie uniforms. What colors would
Screed's team wear, anyway? Then you get even sillier by trying to
figure out the rules of a football game between 2 teams of rats and
decide that there probably aren't any rules except that the losers get
eaten by the carouches :-)

Subject: V.S.

it makes you wonder who would win in a fight.....Angelus or
Lucien?????????

I mean sure Angelus has all of the fighting skills that he shows off
every ep. and his "Demon Rage", but really no way he could beat Lucien.
Of course it would be cool to see the irish hottie get his butt whiped
senseless, and watch Lucien seduce the slayer, and then BOTH of them whip
Angelus's butt......
couldn't you see Angel running through the streets of Pompaii screaming
like a girl because his is hair on fire, and then he trips on his
toga....... of course Spike and Javier would look just fine in their
togas,,,,,or without their togas.... :)

(Note: this is the fault of me reading fanfic all day)

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to remind all of you to vote for Forever Knight on World
Charts. This is the world vote and is very important. It'd be SO great if FK
jumped to first! It had 900 something votes last time, so lets give it even
more. It can be in the lead, in "1st" for the Year 2000!!

Nick wouldn't really celebrate, and wouldn't care about the change of the
millenium -- he'd be sitting in his high-tech dungeon of gloom having
flashbacks of centuries worth of New Years' Eves gone by...it would just be
another New Years Eve to him. If he's lucky, Natalie will drop by and join
him, with a movie rental in hand. I don't think she'd really celebrate
either -- she seems like the type that wouldn't go in for the excessive
partying and celebrating on New Years eve.

LaCroix would be remembering the turn of the *last* millenium (does anyone
know if people freaked out when they changed from 999 to 1000? Or did they
wait till 1001? Just curious.) and he would get all philosophical about
the doom 'n gloom mentality, on the air New Year's Eve, as the
nightcrawler. Nick would tune in of course.

Janette would celebrate the Millenium both years -- it's good for business
at The Raven.

And Schanke will party like it's 1999! :-)

Happy New Year everyone!!!!

well....lets see,,,,i took Latin 1 i should know....... ok, well their
callendar officially starts when Rome was founded in 743 bc....to the
Romans its not bc its some thing like ARC (i know thats not
right.....anyway i only passed the class by one point) which stands for
When Rome was Founded. Well thats year one and i think you just count up
the years til now.....I think thats right, yeah.....Its the year
2,743......so that means LaCroix celebrated his millinium in
1257....almost 30 years after Nick came along......of course this all
relys on the fact that i can remember any of the latin class,,,,which i
don't....except for the hottie who sat next to me...

I have been watching the adverts for A&E's new movie "Crossings", and
thought I was seeing a familiar face among the cast. Sure enough, when I
went to their website to look at the credits, Nigel Bennett is playing
General Gates.

The movie airs 1/10/00 at 8:00, 10:00, and 12:00 on A&E network. It is the
story of Washington's crossing of the Delaware and his Christmas attack on
the Hesians at Trenton.

I saw a program that talked about just this, they said that so few people
were educated and new their numbers, that most people didn't even know the
date. So very few people would have been aware that it was the year 1000,
and of those that did, there isn't any report of panic. Of course I have no
idea how accurate the program was.

Does anyone know if this was filmed "on location?" I live in the same
township as Washington's Crossing Park on the Delaware River in New
Jersey/Pennsylvania --its about 10 minutes from me. I didn't know a thing
about it and I think I'll be rather perturbed (to put it nicely) to find out
that Nigel was in these parts filming and I missed it!!

For information on managing your subscription and on listserv commands,
please see Don Fasig's page
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/7139/fk-lists.htm

1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST MAY BE
PERMANENT.

2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post
in replying. If you have more than one point to answer, then you may quote
the relevant four lines for that point also.

3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration
quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of
the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of
text, your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of
the six line limit. If you have one of those services that insists
on putting an advertising tag on the end of posts, don't worry. I
realize you can't control that and it doesn't count as part of your
sig.

4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to the
person who wrote the post you are answering.

5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the
listowners, Lisa McDavid, mclisa@m....... or Don Fasig,
phase3@g....... for permission.

6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew, staff
and producers in connection with what they're doing now or have done in
the past are ok. Vampires in general are _NOT_ ok except in relation
to Forever Knight.

7. Off-topic posts are not allowed, no matter what they are about or
how urgent the warning may appear. If you have an off-topic post which
you think should appear on the list, ask one of the owners for permission.

8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic. Occasionally
one of the fan club presidents will make an announcement, but other than
that, we leave the cast their privacy.

9. Con announcements must come from con officials or a designated
liaison and must be kept brief. Cons are only announced on list if there
is a connection to FK.

10. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may
make announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff,
before said projects have been released or written about in the
media.

11. No role-playing on Forkni-l. This includes no character names as
pseudonyms or posing as a character.

12. Each subscriber is limited to five posts per day on Forkni-l.

I'll be happy to explain the reason for any of the above if asked.

Thanks!

My understanding is that it was filmed in Canada. I got that info from Canadian
re-enaactors who worked on the filming. The re-enactment of the battle was also
done Christmas weekend likely near the original site.

Thanks for the reply! So I'm not going mad after all--I'm sure there would
have been word of it if they were filming a movie in these parts and I
didn't think I was THAT out of touch... (Especially out of touch enough to
miss Mr. Bennett..........) (General, sir)

Yes, they do a reenactment of the crossing every year on the day it
happened, at the park. Grace Kelly's brother, Jack, used to play the part
of Washington. I'm not sure who does it now.

Best regards,

D.
