AAAAAH! Extreme jealousy is being experienced on this end of the
terminal. Is anything like this going to be going on during this summer?
(Late may to early august)
Also, did anyone else get ticked off last Thursday about scheduling? Over
here USA didn't show FK at 1:00, like normal. At 1:15 I finally gave up
and went to bed in a grey depression (sort of like a grey grannie
nightgown). I found out the next morning, from my insomniac roommate,
that they showed it at 1:30. (!!!!!!!) *sigh*
Does anyone know the name of the episode where VAchon says something like
cars with fins being more preditory?

It was alleged this day, April 14, 1996, the Year of the WebGoddess:
Nick flies at least once in each episode.
My question is, don't they ever get noticed?
And the answer involves the other 20 or so percent of the human brain that
scientists claim we never use. The fact is, we DO use it, but we don't
know why. Until now. Actually, that 20 percent consists of reality
dampers. We see weird things going on all the time: flying vampires,
martians having milkshakes in the booth next to us, ghosts watching TV
with us. Fortunately, we don't notice any of those things, because our
reality dampers kick in. If we did notice, we'd go start raving buggers
because the human mind just can't handle such things.
So I support the theory that each time Nick goes for a midnight flight,
people look up, notice him, and then, very quickly, NOT notice him. They
find themselves suddenly thinking about the weather, or the shade of the
sky, or what time it is. So the next time you find yourself thinking of
such trivial things, it's probably safest to go back inside, quickly, and
watch some Tv with your deceased Uncle Jasper.

I can't believe I'm not caught up yet...
what were you all on last night? :)
However, while I go grab some brunch and contemplate writing a paper
on mimetic criticism of Kate Chopin, I thought I'd ask something that has
been bugging me ever since a piece of white fuzz darted across the screen
in a certain spoiler-protected episode which shall remain nameless. The
said piece of fuzz reminded me of snow, which by all rights ought to have
been falling in that episode... not to mention many other episodes.
It does snow in Ontario, doesn't it?
Are there any FK eps with full-fledged, snowy winter nights?

I tell you I miss one heck of a night on the list! Not only did I not go on
IRC because of me doing lots of taxes but I also missed most of the list fun
last night! Guys, let me know next time something like that happens because
I want to be part of it whether it's on IRC or a personal loop (let me know!)
BTW, for everyone who is cursing the whole tax system up one side of the
street and down the other be thankful that you aren't a vampire! Can you
imagine what Nicks tax returns look like? How about LC?
I know, back to filling out the D.C. tax returns I go (Even though you never
get the refund back because of D.C. government being broke)

Or maybe vampires have an inherent SEP field. (That's Somebody Else's Problem
Field, for non-Douglas-Adams fans) Therefore, we *do* see them flying, as
was suggested, but we ignore it because it's Somebody Else's Problem. This is
also why normal people on the street don't notice homelessness, crime, or
any other growing social problems... As far as they're concerned, it's
Somebody Else's Problem.
The best way, therefore, to catch a vampire in flight is not to look for it.
You'll see it best when you catch it from the corner of your eye. Turn to
look, and the SEP field will obscure it from you.

Someone mentioned the IRC in regard to last night's activities (yes, I am
one of the people who was not pleased with all those posts this morning!)
Especially, when everytime I go on the IRC, I open up the Forever Knight
channel as I am chatting away in another channel. Last night I went on at
9pm to join the PWFC chat and I opened the FK channel and it sat there,
untouched for 6 hours! Yes, we got carried away last night over on PWFC.
If you have IRC capability, its really a fun place to get together and
chat and even to get to know your fellow list members better. 2 of the other
lists that I am on have a regular channel and meeting time. If anyone here
is interested, please let me know!
Also...I received a note from Fred, he is very appreciative of all the
praise of the CD and happy that you are all so thrilled with it!
And...USA seems to be having some scheduling problems, er, or cancellation
problems. It seems that maybe they are going to have some open slots out
there and maybe they could be presuaded to have FK fill one of those slots!

Hmmmm... That would explain Resistors and the Whammy. Resistors are
people who are born (or possibly it happens later: trauma, etc) with
faulty reality dampers, so they see what is *really* there instead of
what the Whammy dictates, and the Whammy is based on selective activation
of the reality dampers. By George, i think he's got something here!

Ahem. They did notice. First, Matthew in the flashback from DTKY, then the
reporter in UnTV, and THEN, Schank in CC. Everyone else get's the hypno
treatment.
And I just love the way Nat says "You have got to teach me how you do that
sometime." After Nick whammies Goodman in FWTD.
