I was wondering if someone could help me fill in a few blanks for Janette's
history for my page. I'm having a real problem with figuring out what to
put for the years between the 16th century and the 20th. Does anyone have
any suggestions for me?
Also, I'm looking for people's opinions of "Human Factor" to put on the
page and I'm also still looking for more reasons why people like Janette.
I only have five responses so far.

Okay, I've yet another Couples Faction to announce: Nick and LaCroix.
They're perfect for each other! I mean, they've spent all this time
together, Nick's only killed LaCroix once so far, and they get on better
than a lot of married couples I know! This can get as platonic or perverted
as you like. Anyone have a name idea? For once, my mind is blank.

Hmmmm... I'm not Tippi, but I've got something.

1. How to make the thong. Fruit roll-ups+ licorice laces= thong

2. I volunteer to do the happy/deadly work! DO ya think codeine would get
him drowsy enough to be handled?

3. Yes, although you may also be witnessing my gory, horrible,

To Dalton:

I think your post misses a few points.

1. The generally understood rule involving challenges is that the one
who poses them must write the first challenge story. That is why you
haven't seen too many challenges lately.

2. List policy is made by the Listowner, Jaye, and by the Assistant
Listowner, Jamie. Not by you. Not by me. If you or I have suggestions
for list policy, we may e-mail them to the listowners for input, but
our ideas are just that: our ideas, not list policy. The only
exception is when one of us receives explicit permission from one of
the listowners to post something regarding list policy. In that
circumstance, one should note that the listowners are aware and have
approved your post, so listmembers know it carries their authority.

Hope that clarifies things for you and anyone else who was confused by
your post.

For those wondering about this (like me!), I'll just comment that,
yesterday morning, I happened to turn on "The Tick"--he was grabbing (I
thought they said) a macrame duck. The person he took it from said,
"You can't fight evil with a macrame duck!" and he replied, "I'll be the
judge of that!" then walked out through the doorway, taking part of it
with him and leaving a Tick-shaped hole.

Thing #1: While I am immensely entertained by the above-referenced threads,
and have in fact participated in them...

Please, all, let us keep in mind that this is a PG-rated list.

And we are definitely beginning to push the limits of a PG rating...

There are other venues for R- and X-rated discussions. You know what they
are. :-)

Thing #2: At this point in time, as it has been in the past, FKSPOILR is
devoted wholly and exclusively to the discussion of recently aired
episodes.

At some point in the future, this will become a moot issue; and at that
time, a determination of the future of the FKSPOILR list will be made.

I just thought I'd let you all know that this college teacher, currently
on Spring break, is now plotting ways to make her students' lives
miserable, in direct response to this particular thread, which has made
MY LIFE MISERABLE.

And Guess what? I'm going to blame it all on you guys and give them your
email addresses to boot!

We had better watch out, Uncle is going to get us. Now that is not a bad
idea either.

I'm a journalist-in-my-spare-time myself, but yes, that is definitely the
_real_ Nigel.

I'd even go so far to say I love all of you fellow Forkni-l'ers! (To

Well, never having tried that particular concoction, I don't know.
It sounds pretty potent.

Besides, that second comment was meant to be taken generally, not
specficially.

Just gotta add a brief, succinct comment, here.

I DIDN'T DO IT!!!!!

While, as you all know, I am never shy about posting those annoying (but
necessary) "LIST RULES:" posts, and while I **am** the Webgoddess... there
are some things that even I will not do.

I will not race a speeding NYC cab to the crosswalk.

I will not stick my foot out of a speeding semi to slow it down.

I will NOT stand between Sharon and the salt.

And I will not set Mr. B. nomail for any reason other than a technical
difficulty, or his direct request.

Besides, he wasn't set nomail.

So there.

Love,

Jamie

Subject: General Apology

Recently, I received some complaints about certain messages I sent to the
list apparently telling people what I thought they should do. I've never
meant to offend anybody, but I have and I'm sorry. I'm a computer
programmer by profession, and when I sit at a keyboard I tend to write
instructions rather than discussions, a style that computers have to
accept but people do not.

I'm particularly embarrassed to discover that part of the reason for my
"instructional" posts has been my envy at the ability of FKFIC authors to
turn out many entertaining and COMPLETE stories, a talent I really wish I
had myself. The only thing I am really good at is systems design, and
unfortunately that doesn't often make a good story. I THOUGHT it MIGHT
make me a fair editor, but I'm not even sure of THAT any more.

I really, REALLY hate to be in the wrong. Please, accept my apologies.

I dont think she's trying to put distance between them as much as she has
just gotten bolder in their relationship. The "honeymoon period" is over and
she is comfortable enough with him to speak her mind.
