A Cousin is a follower of LaCroix, and I *can't* follow LaCroix; if nothing
else, that whole purple-edible-thong thread just blew my mind too totally
to even consider following LaCroix. Although the rear view would, no
doubt, be priceless...

However, one need not be a Cousin to be EVIL.

Natpackers are evil. They're just evil in bright, shiny, bouncy ways....
Natpackers are capable of wreaking more havoc than any ten Cousins
combined. Worse, because no one ever suspects them of doing it.

Mercs, of course, are evil for payment. Or not-evil for payment.
Whichever is more profitable.

Perkulators are evil, but in a perky way. And with a happy-face smile.

Vaqueras are evil, too. But when you confront 'em with it, they just BLINK
at you and pretend they don't know what you're talking about.

Knighties are evil... but they angst about it afterwards.

Ravenettes, naturally, are STYLISHLY evil.

FoDs are evil -- just put 'em at the very end of the buffet line, and watch
'em in action...

Reese's Pieces would be evil, but they're too busy trying to get water out
of the cooler to bother.

DieHards are evil to ALL the factions, equally, and without partiality.

And remember: You can't fight evil with a macaroni duck. :-)

(First person to correctly attribute that quote wins virtual Warm Fuzzies!)

Has anyone tried Vodka and Ribena over crushed ice, for our Forever Night,
or Forever Knight, drink? I missed a day of posts, so I'm not sure of
everything that's been suggested. But I do like the idea of a nice, simple
drink. It's easy to explain to bartenders, so you can spend most of the
time explaining *where* the drink and its name came from.
Alora, since you've got that bottle of Vodka handy, how about trying it?

Try that one again. I couldn't get the navigator to go to that one at

I had copied down .htm by mistake. It really is .htm.

I would absolutely spend $160 or whatever on a good series of FK episodes.
Just to add to your list, (even though this series wasn't of the "science
fiction" genre,) that older show called Beauty and the Beast with Catherine
and Vincent has been out and available on video for some time now. I know
there were fans of that show who felt the same way about it that we all feel
about FK, (I know because I was one of those fans!) B&B tapes are sold
individually by episode, so I can't see why the same thing couldn't be done
with FK.

Subject: More on Nat's nagginess

A lot of people have been remarking on Nat's general *bitchiness* this
season, and wondering why. Some have said it's because she's frustrated
with her situation concerning Nick. Has anyone thought that maybe she's
acting this way on purpose, to put some distance between herself and
Nick? I mean, haven't you ever been dating someone in a hopeless
relationship but you couldn't bring yourself to break up with them? So
instead you start subconsciously doing things that irk that person? You
don't even realize you're doing it at the time, but what you're doing is
*building a wall*.

And I still think NK+NL+LC make a good combo. Nick detests being a
vampire. Lacroix loves being a vampire. And Nat, should she ever get
brought across, as Sandra says, she wouldn't *like* it but she'd "deal
with it". So you have all three sides of the triangle. ;)

Subject: Re: Does Tracy know??

Tracy has known about Vachon being a vampire since the first couple of
episodes of this new season. In the first ep, after the plane crash, she
meets Vachon for the first time in the hangar where the bodies are being kept
pending their identification. He is digging around, looking for his hand
which was blown off in the crash. When Tracy sees this, she faints. Vachon
drives her home in her car, and she becomes interested in him. She figures
out where he lives, in some old church, and goes there looking for him. One
of Vachon's wilder vampire buddies attacks her, and V. has to save her.
He then tells her all about his past, how he was brought across, etc.
Nick knows that Tracy knows that Vachon is a vampire. Nick has seen Tracy at
the Raven in a couple of episodes, and has seen her with Vachon in various
situations. So far, however, I don't think that Tracy knows about Nick being
a vampire as well, as he has tried to keep her from finding out. Nick knows
that Vachon is a vampire, Vachon knows that Nick is a vampire, but Tracy
really only knows about Vachon. (Nick was at the Raven once when Tracy came
in to look for Vachon, and Nick ducked behind a post to keep her from seeing
him.)
Hope this helps! See ya!

The logo is on the back and the faction is on the front.

Vaquera and Raven will both fit on the pocket.

The white shirts don't have pockets, but the do have the skyline accross
the bottom of the front.

As for "How much in Canadian?"...anybody know the exchange rate?

Exactly. Even Remington Steele is beginning to be sold on tape. Only 20
eps so far, but depending on how well those sell, they're considering more.

And even the RS letter writing campaign that brought the show back for
it's last half season (and stripped Pierce Brosnan of his original 007
contract) was no where *near* as substantial as the FK effort.

Ah! Factionly sparring. My favorite pastime.

Of course Uncle wants me. I've got that nude bathtub photo from the last
War. 'Course, Celeste was the one who actually *took* the photo, so he
might be more interested in tracking her down. Poor Cousine Celeste. I

I think you left out the most importenat option to Nick: Redemption. It is my
belief that the rook problem with the whole question of does Nick or doesn't
he really want to be mortal again is this idea of redemption. Our deepest
motivators, the ones that we are very often quite unwilling to admit, even to
ourselves, are the things that we really need/want/desire. For Nick, I think
it is redemption. His view of redemption. Problem is, he doesn't know what
that redemption might be. As to the question on Natalie--I think he is sure
that the answer he is looking for is somehow associated with her. Does he
love her? You betcha. Is this the most important reason he stays? I don't
know. Is there a better reason for him to stay? Probably not.

For what it is worth, his condition, his 'fall from grace' is far more
metaphysical than Nat would admit. The chemistry between them is far more
metaphysical than she would admit. His answer will be a metaphysical one as
well. We've already seen that happen...haven't we....

No, no, no, no, no....I think Jamie is just fine where she is. (Even if
the Natpack does have to share her with the Mercs)

Besides, she is currently debating Laurie (over the whole N&N; LC&N
thread) from a *definate* Natpacker p.o.v.

Nope, I think Jamie makes for quite the inspirational Natpacker...besides,
you had her once before; now it's our turn...after all, with Jamie's
multiple loyalties, who knows we might eventually loose her to another
faction entirely...can't you just see: Jamie the Perkalator? <g>

Subject: Sony Survey: What if...

Just a random thought.

There's been a lot of speculation about that last episode of the season (no
spoilers here). What if... what if THEY couldn't figure out how to end it?

What if, despite all time constraints, there *was* more than one ending
filmed?

The Sony survey (about whether or not we would want Nick to regain his
mortality) would therefore make a whole lot more sense.

They do know we're out here.  The famous hidden fk24 web page proved that;
although I can't say I liked the tone of the page, it does show that they
know about us. (It particularly shows that they've VISITED THE SAVE FK
PAGE...)

It would make a strange, ironic sort of sense that the first time they
really bother consulting us about anything would be over the end of the
season. (I REFUSE to say, "the end of the series".)

I dunno. What if?
