Not the ONLY evidence. I've just seen Drak Knight for the first time,
and noted the uncanny resemblance between Alyce's eybrows in that ep,
and LaCroix"s eyebrows in recent eps.

Coincidence? I think not!

No, no. Not the FK-logo I made up to use for the SOSFK thing. The FK logo
as seen on the show... but the one that I composed on Windows Paintbrush,
working from a rough scan of someone's stationery and coloring it in pixel
by pixel over the period of many, many hours... My effort, their logo; not
a leg to stand on.

And I don't mind that Sony used something I did. Don't mind 'em swiping it
without asking. Don't mind that in the least.

But they took it from the SAVE FOREVER KNIGHT page.

Which seems to me to be the ultimate in obnoxious behavior. Kill a show
deliberately, then use the fans' efforts to save it to pat yourselves on
the back...?

Interesting, though. At least now we have definitive evidence that they
have visited the SFK site at least once...

Since they like my work well enough to steal it, maybe I oughta apply for a
job with 'em?

Subject: Sony Website

As soon as I read about it ,I visited the Sony Webpage(fk24). I was
amused at how Sony will try to make itself look good despite the fact
that the only people who will really see this page are the people
they are insulting.

" The content rich pages covering the show have become the daily
blotter for Forever Knight information. "

I'm sorry I don't agree with this quote. The first FK page I ever
found was Jasmine's and I think the award for the page was well
deserved. It is filled with sooo much information . Not like Sony's
at all. And the Save FK Page is the best in keeping us updated with
the underhanded tricks of the PTB and with ways to try to stymie them.

" With updates of future episodes, audio and video downloads and
background production information such as a timeline of Nick Knight's
life, fans couldn't get more access even if the worked on the show."

WRONG! With people like JP and Fred to keep us updated, how much more
accessed can we be.

" The fans were not satisfied to show support for their show by
simply sending electronic cards. A mass worldwide effort was
initiated by the fans to raise money on their own and donate it to
the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, whcih was the charity chosen by
Geraint Wyn Davies, the star of Forvever Knight, during the Sony
fundraiser. "

The fundraiser wasn't set up was to coincide with Sony's. I think
that the people here just realize that there are more beneficial
forms of protest. And if it highlights a good show and a good cause....
.so be it!

" Sony's show and website created the ripple, but the fans in
cyberspace have seen fit to carry the wave..... "

To me this line is just the ultimate slap from Sony. When I first
logged on and found out there was a list like this for a show I loved,
I was ECSTATIC!! It was a long time before I found out Sony had a
page and by that time...I didn't care, because of all the other
wonderful pages by listmembers.

Sony just makes me sick.

I made a totally newbie boo-boo. (Naughty Dark Phoenix . . . )
I was extracting files to download, and I accidentally erased one. I
don't remember who it was that wrote the story. :-( The title is
"Look, Ma, I Can Sing" and the part I deleted was the last part (part
2F, I believe). Could the author, or any other nice person who
happens to have this, please send it to me? I would be ever so
appreciative. (And you all know that that you want to keep on my good

You go into the neighborhood convenience store, and the guy in front of
you has a bottle on the counter that looks like a wine bottle, with
something very red in it. You tell yourself it *has* to be tomato juice,
but then, tomato juice doesn't come in that kind of bottle. So you ask
the checkout guy what it is. He says it's Bloody Mary Mix, and turns the
bottle around, so you can see the label. But you start laughing anyway,
'cause you know..., you just know..., that this is *very special* Bloody
Mary Mix.

Ok, then, give it a name that has Forever Knight in it. Ask for it when you
order a drink. Of course, the bartender will say he doesn't know how to make
it, but you tell him/her, and explain that it's based on the show etc. etc.
(whatever you want to say). The bartender still won't be able to make it,

A Raven Sympathizer (but never a Nevermore)
Have a Fodishly Fodish Appetite (but am not a Fod)
Can think quite Mercenarily (but I'd have to be paid a <lot> to join them)

Have avoided Problems sometimes (I just Hate Vashing dishes!)
Was <once> accused of being Perky (but they don't think that anymore)

And of course I would never, never, ever, be a (anything but a) Die-Hard!!

Hi again. The results are in. Drumroll, please...

In response to my brief question, *do you get the SciFi Channel?* I got
the following responses:
     35 Yes
     29 No

(Of course, this poll assumes that the respondents also care enough to
send an email message to have their vote counted.)

So it looks like we're evenly split on the list. If anyone happens to
know the true availablility of the SciFi channel (I haven't found
anything about it on W3), let me know.

If you missed your chance to vote, send me your response. If I get enough
new responses I'll send another update. If not, consider the poll closed.
Oh, and if you *did* vote but didn't receive a somewhat strangely-worded
reply from me, email me again. Just be sure to have poll in the subject
and tell me that this may be a duplicate vote.

I LOVE this idea.

Here's some more:

Call up and order a pizza. Ask for a "Don Schanke Special". When they ask
you what the heck that is, make up a description for which ol' Don would be
proud (e.g. extra garlic) and explain who Don Schanke is, and where it
comes from...

Go to the cosmetics counter of the local department store. Tell them you
want eyeshadow/nail polish "the exact color of Nick's caddy". When they
look baffled, explain.

Subject: SciFi Channel

Hi,

I just received a return phone cal from Barry Schulman from the
SciFi Channel. I had been referred to him last week when I had called
looking for more information on this new change.

First, let me tell youth at he was a really nice guy. He told me that the
SFC is broadcast to 30 million home at this time, while USA goes out to 70
million.

On April 22nd they will begin showing the episodes where USA left off, this
will continue into September, he said their were 9 episodes.

He said that Rod Perth was one of the show's most "devoted supporter's" and
that any and all thanks should go to him and to....fasten your
seatbelts..Kay Koplovitz. They were both instrumental in having FK go to SFC
and backed the expenditure to do so.

It did not seem to be an outlandish thought that future original episodes of
FK or a mini movie would be a possibility. He named "Cagney And Lacey" as an
example. In other words, it doesn't sound as if they have closed the door on
this one. (By original, I mean, brand , spanking new ones!) However, this
would be up to Sony, they still own it. But, if letters were to come pouring
in and the "heat" were to be put on, this could happen. Don't acll me a
Perkulator, but I do see a window of opportunity at least.

He will be more than happy to help us in any way that he can. He did tell me
that the best bet to getting the SFC in your home is to write them a
separate letter requesting it and find out who the Head of Programming is
for your cable company and send it directly to them or the General Manager.

AND...he told me that Ger will be back on line on AOL for a conference, some
time soon.
Being the cousin that I am, I asked if they could get Nigel! No offense
Knighties.

He did say something to the effect of ..gee,everyone got presents but me!

I'm not going to kid myself and say "Oh,they're being so wonderful to us,
how nice" because I'm sure that the strong support thats we have shown for
FK and all the hard work that we have done had to have been a factor in
their decision. Heck, who better to get more cable companies to pick up
their SFC, than a bunch of dedicated FKers!

But still, they are taking a chance and I'm going to back this move and push
my cable company to add SFC.

Anyone wanting to send Mr Schulman a card or whatever, its the same address
as Kay's
1230 Ave of the Americas NY NY 100?? I'll look if someone needs it again.

I feel encouraged, they seem to be treating it like an expectant birth with
all the hoopla that it deserves. Lets hope I'm right.

Subject: Ribena drinx

Came up with two last night, while in a relative state of post-writing
delirium. Neither has non-alcoholic alternatives, but they sound...
interesting...

SUNLIGHT

Need: shot glass, Ribena, currant brandy

fill the shot glass half-full of Ribena. Carefully float the brandy on top
(other half of glass-full). Flame the liqueur. WARNING: flaming liqueur
is potentially VERY dangerous. If you're not sure, don't do it. BUt, if
you're gonna, warm the glass and the ingredients (before filling the glass).
Also warm a spoon, fill it with about a teaspoon of the liqueur, and light
before pouring it into the glass (NO FLAMING HOMERS). Also, if you try to
'deep throat' these, it will hurt.

BITTER BLOOD

1 ounce each: Ribena, Tricodeine cough syrup (the red kind, is it cherry?
looks like blood), Pernod (or if you're lucky, Absinthe), vodka, and club
soda. In a tall, thin glass, float the ingredients on top of each other in
order given. The colors should be blood red, blood red, green, clear,
clear. Pernod is bitter as heck, so be careful. Drink carefully, one layer
at a time, with a straw (like a Mind Eraser). With the codeine, sugar,
alcohol, and potential wormwood (absinthe), this will get you STONED.
You've heard of don't drink and drive? With this you might not drink and
LIVE (one per person, please).

HOW TO FLOAT (LAYER) DRINKS

pour your first layer into the glass normally. carefully, and over an
inverted spoon bowl, pour each additional layer in slowly. Always go
heaviest to lightest, or you're gonna get a nasty mess.

I'll come up with some non-alcoholic stuff tonight, probably between lab and
lecture.
