I finally had a chance to fix the fiction links on the NatPack home page.

Also added a first season cast photo to my secondary FTP site at
members.aol.com/fkpix/fkimages/ (you might need to FTP to members.aol.com
then change directories to fkpix/fkimages). The new file is CAST1.JPG and
it's about 120KB.

For those in the Boston area:

Last night, *just* as I removed the lasagna from the microwave, I got a
telemarketer calling from my cable system, Time Warner (I live in Everett,
just outside of Boston). I was offered *HBO* at a *reduced* rate if I took it
*right then and there*!!!!! (yawn)

Naturally, I then gave the telemarketer a hard time and said I did not want
HBO, I wanted Comedy Central back to being 24 hours a day (it's only on
half-days with VH1), the Cartoon Channel, and most importantly, the Sci Fi
Channel. "Oh, yeah--you're getting that in Fall of '96" came her bored voice.
I nearly passed out--the single worst cable provider in
Massachusetts...getting the Sci Fi channel??! Theoretically in time to get
FK? (Unless they plan on running FK in the summer?)

So take heart--perhaps there's a big push on now for the Sci Fi Channel around
the nation?

I agree, like totally, Mun! It sounded to me like "The Creature" was saying,

What a hack. I say he/she doesn't give a hoot (?) and doesn't want us

My thoughts this morning exactly! Having convalesced from May to Oct,
Ihave watched more TV than I ever thought I would, and I watched SFC a lot.
 (I hate
Quantum Leap however) And they do have some original programing, I THINK,
(I had no Idea USA was thier parent co.) Like "Sci-Fi Buzz", "Anti gravity
room" (a great place for an interview if there are any FK comics out there)
"C Net Central" and "Mysteries Magic and Miracles" I also thought they
were still making new eps of "Tek War"

I just visited the Dominion and there is a site to e mail the programing
dept. at SFC (http://www.scifi.com/cgi-bin/rbox/fdbkform.pl)

I was polite....but said I hope they continue FK as part of thier 'growing'
original programing (ARGH) and mentioned a desire to see a segment on Buzz.

I get Sci Fi Entertainment magazine which is the official mag of the SFC.
They have had a few articles on FK and a Quiz in Aug 95, with a fun photo of
LaCroix.
SOOOO! I say we also bug them for more FK stories, like some down to earth
interviews with GWD, NB, and Disher probing into what they think/feel and maybe
talking about future eps they had hoped to see made. Yes?No? And ask them
what TPTB think they're doing. After all, without viewers, who needs them?

You know you've been watching/reading/writing too much FK when you catch the
end of "The Big Valley", and Barbara Stanwyck mentions something about "Nick
will be okay when he cools down". Your first thought is, "What did Uncle do
now?"

Even scarier is when you realize that she meant Nick Barkley, and you wonder
how Nicky got on the Enterprise...

Embarassment that he didn't cover up the kill?

No NO NO!!!! He looks surprised because HE DID NOT KILL THEM--JANETTE DID! He
brought her across and she went out and destroyed them!! Nick would not ever
jeopardize his life as he has it now for something like that. He did not kill
them!

Now, I'm finished screaming. Thank you.

Oh, LaCroix's statement refers to the fact that Nick, against Janette's wishes,
let the vampire in him loose and bring her back across to the dark side. That's
all.

Since whoever holds the copyright on FK pics doesn't seem interested in any
merchandising, would they really care if someone took a picture of their own,
however they got it, and got it put on a mouse pad? Seems like it's just
free publicity for them. (Assuming you show it to everyone you can, in the

Subject: Twilight Zone...

A few weeks ago Wicked Cousin Tippi wrote a great (and very funny story) called
"Eternal Champion". Which involved Nick and LaCroix attempting to save Nick's
favorite TV show , about a werewolf crimefighter, from cancelation. Imagine my
utter amazement, while reading Tuesdays USA Today, an article on shows for the
fall lineup: X Files knockoffs are out there... CBS' "I, Werewolf" spotlights
a man who fights crime during the full moon. !!! Twilite Zone theme plays.....

Of course my second thought is why do this when we are told by TPTB that there
is no market for this kind of programming? It just confirms my most paranoid
insnincts about TriStar, USA etc... Here a major network is doing a series that
sounds virtually identical to "Forever Knight" just substitute werewolf for
Vampire. Ooohh, it makes me SO MAD......

Yikes! Why does this weird stuff keep happening in regards to "Eternal
Champion"?? I swear, that although I have been known to experience psychic
phenomena in the past, I did not know about this new series. Nor did I know
about that TV guy dying of a heart attack! Man, I guess Heinlein knew what
he was talking about in _Number of the Beast_. What writers write about
really DOES come true...

In that case, I suggest we all write some "Wish-fic" about FK being renewed
and Jon Feltheimer turning into a rodent of some kind. Wouldn't you love to
see the subsequent headlines for *that* one? ;)

>Here a major network is doing a series that sounds virtually identical to
> "Forever Knight" just substitute werewolf for Vampire. Ooohh, it makes
>me SO MAD......

Next it'll be "Zombie Law and Order", "NYPD Ghoul", "Melrose Ghost", and
"Walker, Texas Strangler". When the TV world finds a saleable idea, everyone
latches onto it. Hence all the "90210" clones and "Friends" wannabes. Call
it a lack of originality. FK comes up with a great premise and now these
werewolf people wanna "borrow" their premise. They didn't get the idea from
the X-Files. I think we all know where they *really* got their idea. Let's
see if Feltheimer's getting any kickbacks, eh? Maybe he knows the Sony boat
is sinking, and rats always get off sinking ships first.;)

What makes me mad is there is a knockoff of Forever Knight. If that's going
to happen, at least Forever Knight should get the credit, and it shouldn't
be going off the air. But let's face it, Forever Knight is just too intelligent
a show to make it on television. It's amazing that it lasted for three seasons.
What do you want to bet "I,Werewolf" has none of the beauty, intelligence, or
art of Forever Knight? But then, it will probably stay on the air longer for
just that reason.

I have had the same reaction of irritation to learning about the new
"werewolf" show. I used to be a huge fan of a show called "My So-Called
Life" when it was on, too, but they cancelled that one, and it was so
beautifully done that I just couldn't believe it. The best things are often
done away with. The "X-Files" managed to attract a noticeable cult
following, which is what probably saved it so that it could continue with
it's present popularity. Maybe we fans of FK weren't visible enough or
something? I don't get it. Would there be any chance at all of
"resurrecting" it if we drive the networks crazy with mail? Anyway, I'll
have to see this new werewolf show, just out of curiosity, to see how much
they pattern it after FK. On the other hand, I'd also like to boycott the
darned thing and never watch it, just to make a point. Oh well,

You did mention that you were new to the list, didn't you. Believe me,
we have been driving the networks crazy. Suggest you visit Jamie's Save
Our Show web page to see all that we have done and are still doing. Of
course, I can't remember the URL at the moment, but you can get to
through my web page.

Also, only two people have responded with reasons why they like Janette
so far. I would really like to get more responses than that.

Considering they always show LC when he does something like that, or he would
have gloated to Nick about it in some fashion during their last conversation I
never considered it. There's nothing that could allude to that happening. LC
getting pissed off is much too interesting to watch, I don't think that would
have gone by unseen.

For purposes of the story, maybe Nat just didn't want Nick to think

Or maybe Nat's just a big pain in the butt! First she screams and moans he's
taking her for granted (mbiav) and then when he tries
to show a little affection she plays duck and cover. People say Nick needs a
smack in the head once in a while - I think maybe
Nat needs one too everyone now and then! Talk about your frustrations!!

ROTFLMAO - My oh my, did I get strident again? Sorry - didn't mean to shout -
but I was frustrated! I think Nick expected her to kill them, but not to leave
the obvious evidence behind knowing they'd have to cover it up again.

This might be a duplicate post but here it is anyway...

Those with web access should check out sony's FK site.

Go to the "Question"

They are conducting a survey asking people what they want to see in the
season finale. Interesting that they say season finale rather than series
finale.

Check it out, they will be giving away FK mugs at random.

You people are sick..er than me, that is. Ok, well maybe not but to
clarify: I've got a R A D I O show! Every Friday night 2-4 am. I take
requests for the 'Net Request part of the show from my pals and people
I've never ever met.

It's innocent. I'm not.

Guys, this is getting kinda ridiculous.

This thread (Nevermores (HF)) has got to stop, and I mean right now.
There's already been one warning sent, that this episode is still under
spoiler protection, but apparently no one got it but me. So I'll say it
again: Human Factor has not been shown in reruns, and therefore may be
discussed on FKSPOILR *ONLY*.

Unless, of course, I'm terribly and horribly wrong, in which case y'all
have my full permission to virtually beat me about the head and
shoulders.
