Subject: Valentines/Casting

Mel posted the URL for the Valentines page yesterday but it didn't work
when I tried it. Could someone email me the correct URL.

Also, I posed the following question to Susan last night, and we had a
devil of a time doing it.

You're the casting director for the new, big name, enormous budget Forever
Knight: The Movie. TriStar wants big names and big talent to star.

Who would *you* cast? What chances would you take? (To simplify this,
lets assume you cannot cast the currect or past actors--I wanna see what
type of ensemble this list can come up with). You can do favorites, or
just big name people you think *might* fit the role but who are not
necessarily favorites.

As I said, Susan and I had a hard time, but here's what I came up with (a
partial list):

Nick Knight: Gary Sinise, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt
Natalie Lambert: Susan Sarandon (10 years ago anyway--she would have been
perfect), Jodie Foster
LaCroix: Michael Moriarity, Ed Harris, Malcolm MacDowell
Vachon: Jason Carter (this is my risk--he's The Guy on B5)
Janette: Demi Moore, Lara Flynn Boyle

You get the picture.

Hellow to all Felines -- and Bipeds:
Our pet, the Lone Nanette, was talking to one of his friends about
a YKYB... experience. He said that he was sitting in his abnormal psychology
class, and they were discussing major depression. According to the DSM-IV,
symptoms include:

        poor appetite
insomnia/hypersomnia or other changes in sleep habits
        feelings of excessive guilt
        easily distracted

And my pet said he thought to himself, "Nick must have been a case
study," and had to bite his lip from laughing out loud. Personally, *I* don't
see what was so funny, but you know those bipeds.

I agree that Nick *could* be a Manx, but LC -- a Panther? Aren't we
going a bit far? It was my understanding that we were talking similar-size
breeds, and not jungle cats.
Now, LC would definitely be a champion purebred Bluepoint Siamese.
And what a Siamese he would be . . . <rrrowr ;) >
Ooops -- biped alert. Farewell for now.

Hey -- get away from there! What the heck . . .?

If you are having trouble accessing the Valentines' Home Page, the new URL
is: Http://ansel.mm.informed.net/~virtual/team1/val.HTML (the html is not
capitalized in the address, I just made it that way so you could remember
the change). If you are still having trouble getting through, email me.
Somebody else at Duquesne University may have tampered with Virtual's
directory.

Also, look for, in the future, the page to be at a second address:
http://www.pgh.net/~miss68/val.html.
DO NOT GO THERE NOW!! I haven't loaded it in this server yet. My stupid
FTP server won't seem to let me create new directories, therefore the page
is not at this address YET. I'll let you know when I get my little problem
straightened out, and when the page is loaded.

Other Pages of note:
My Personal Page, Mel's Domain:
http://ansel.mm.informed.net/~virtual/team1/melspage.html
My little FK page: http://ansel.mm.informed.net/~virtual/team1/fk.html
Also, eventually look for these to be moved to my pgh.net site. But like I
said, NOT YET!

Well, besides being Anthrovamp, I am also Cellovamp! :) I have been playing
the cello for , oh my god, 12 years now. Since I was, um, very very young.
And if that instrument in the intro AIN'T a cello, then it's doing a damn
good impression! Maybe it's a cello trapped inside a rebec's body? If it
walks like a cello, talks like a cello, then baby, it's a cello. Unless I'm
wrong. ;) Celli (cellos) are deep, sonorous, and smooth-sounding. Very
sensual instruments. I'll look up some good examples of cello concertos for
you. :)

Ack ack ack! I don't even wanna think about it. And yet, I feel oddly
compelled to answer... Hmm. Lessee. My mind just automatically turned Nick
and Nat into David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. I didn't even think about
it. Maybe it's just my personal perversion that I wanna see the entire cast
of the X-Files get naked? Hmm? Okay, let me try again:

***Lacroix: Julian Sands. (Okay, he's not a *real* big name, but he's good
at doing wicked and he does have the right eyebrows and hairline...)
***Nat: Julia Roberts. (It's the "wild hair" factor.)
***Nick: Gotta stick with Duchovny. (He ain't blond but I'd become a
Knightie for 'im.)
***Vachon: Keanu Reeves. (Duuuude.) Ooh, wait, no -- Antonio Banderas.
 (Drooool.)
***Janette: Linda Fiorentino. Or Fran Drescher in a non-speaking role.
(Hey, she's got style, she's got flair, that's how she became... Oh wait,
wrong show.)
***Urs: Drew Barrymore. (I can see no one else for this part.)
***Tracy: If Keanu Reeves, then Alicia Silverstone. (TEE HEE!) If Antonio,
then... me! No, maybe an Uma Thurman.

The cast according to Tri-Star: Nick is either Sly Stallone ("Yo!
Natalie!") or Hugh Grant ("I -- I -- I just, well, that is, I wonder if,
perhaps...you and I, Nat, maybe we could..."). Lacroix is Schwarzenegger
("Hasta la vista, mon cher!" ). Nat is Pamela Anderson (Boing, boing,
boing.).

Nick! Except that 1) I'm a girl and 2) my Caddy is a 1980. Oh well. I
can dream.

Anyway, is anybody doing that tape? I would, except I don't have the equipment.

Jamie,
The one where Nick eats french fries is Feeding the Beast. The one where
Nat pretends to freak out is Faithful Followers. That's the one where Nat
sneaks into that cult headquarters, because she thinks that Nick has been
brainwashed. It's a second season ep. The one where Schanke trashes Nicks
car is Dark Knight (I've forgotten which part).

Hi,
I'm back. The one with the head injury is NIQ. The one with the tatoos is
Let No Man Tear Assunder. And the LC/Janette scene is in HF, but I won't
say any more than that. Spoilers don't you know. The one with the drummers
might be Dying for Fame, but don't quote me on that one.

        Gang:
I ordered my copy of the FK CD, and they have given me some conflict-
ing information. I post it here for the benefit of the list. I was told that
they are *not* going to offer the soundtrack in cassette format. That is the
one area of conflict -- it has been said here by at least one person that the
soundtrack *will* be offered on cassette.
So far, the shipping date seems to jibe -- I was told mid-March for
a ship date.
I too did not have the order number (which I believe is #8043), but
that didn't seem to faze the operator any. He seemed to know what I was want-
ing. To wit -- "The _Forever Knight_ Soundtrack? <mutters 'Popular
item.'> Sure, okay."
It would seem that a lot of us have had the same thought: order now,
beat the Christmas rush! Ooops, wrong season. Sorry about that. :)

And just in case this needs an ObFK: Uhhhh. Drat. Drawing a blank.
If the Great and Mighty Illustrated Co-List Operator wants to order me to go

Well, now, that depends on whether you're talking present time or
flashback time. In the *present* time, let's see: I Will Repay
(when he brought over Nat's brother, although maybe we can't be
sure he drank Richard's blood to do so), Feeding the Beast (he was
drinking in the Raven, but he might have been drinking Janette's
blood/wine mixture maybe), Blood Money (although again that might
have been Janette's blood/wine mixture rather than "pure" stock),
Night in Question, *maybe* Sons of Belial (it's not clear), Games
Vampires Play, *maybe* Human Factor (depending on what people think
about a certain character's "condition"--I hope that's not a spoiler).

If you're including *flashbacks*, then that would take a lot longer
to figure out. :)

Now *this* is the toughie. Okay, in no particular order, there's:

Dark Knight
Games Vampires Play
the one in Nazi-occupied France
Last Act
the one with the chew toy
Fallen Idol
Dark of Night
Fatal Mistake
I Will Repay
the one with Serena
Hunters (I think)
Blood Money
Crazy Love

Whewie! Is that all of them?

Of course, this begs the question... which episodes did *Lacroix* chomp
somebody down (out of the glass doesn't count)?

An ObFK is preferred when a post is off-topic. The topic of this list is
FK. Pat's post was about the FK CD. So the logical conclusion is.....?

Riiiiiiiiight.

But Pat, if you really WANT to go censure yourself, who am I to stop you?

In the first Airwolf ep he said "blew" but it sounded like "bleu."

Have ya'll noticed how *cute* Ger is in the Airwolf eps -- the expession on
his face in a couple of scenes give him that "I'm 12 and a half" look. He's
so much more distinguished now. Just think what he'll be like in another 5
or 10 years!

'lo all!

Is anyone doing some group fanfic reading??

I know I interpret most everything by what I've picked up on the list, and
the 3rd season. Now I've seen some first season, things "hit" me differently
sometimes.

I'd be interested in getting a group together, and getting all of our
interpretations as we read.

Interested?
