C'mon guys - this is the FK list, not the Kindred list. You guys wanna talk
Kindred do it thru private e-mail. I've gotten to the point where I just
automatically delete it when I see the title. Someone just wrote that it seems
people are already forgetting FK and getting into the Kindred. That's not
right.

Besides, you risk the wrath of Jamie if you keep it up much longer, she did warn
you. Mind you, I haven't read a message in a bit, the last one I read was
trying to compare some Kindred factions to our FK characters, but the detail on
the Kindred just kept going and going. I really think that should be private
email.

I would be most interested in the FK tapes.
I would like a set if it wouldn't be too much trouble.
Please email me the cost and your address so I may
reimburse you properly.

Thanks,
Amy

When you become a vampire sickness and death can not touche you,
you will be young for all time! I do not believe that a vampire can
enter a coma or starve to death, that's the very thing about vampires,
you don't die. Ancient vampires should(according to Anne Rice) reach a
point in thier lives were blood is no longer needed to calm the hunger,
they no longer feel it, mayby they'll have some blood every once in a
milenium just for the taste but they don't need it to survive.

I suppose the list will soon be inundated with these, but what the heck.

Favourite episodes... oh, boy...

1. Feeding the Beast
2. Night in Question
3. Dance by the Light of the Moon
4. Last Act
5. Stranger than Fiction
6. Sons of Belial
7. Baby Baby
8. The Games Vampires Play
9. Only the Lonely
10. My Boyfriend is a Vampire

Okay, by season:
Season 1: 4 episodes
Season 2: 2 episodes
Season 3: 4 episodes

Although the reason for season 2 only getting two in the top ten is I
haven't seen all of season 2.

In _Fever_, we learn that the "First Night", the first night of unlife,
the new vampire is driven by a hunger *so* impelling that s/he will
attack and drain anyone--friend, enemy, lover, or relative--nearby. Even
animals are not safe.

>From Screed's death I gathered that feeding sped up the progression of
the disease, while fasting slowed it down. However, I got the impression
from Vachon's manner that he was merely waiting to die--fasting might
slow the disease but would only lead to fatal starvation.

Anyway, this is all my opinion. <vbvg>

P.S.--I'm new here and this is my first official post, i.e., to the whole
list.

I know. I'm supposedly a reasonable adult, but every time I see that sale
announcement, I feel like something inside me is dying. I keep thinking of
that fellow from Blackwing who says, "My heart is too heavy tonight."

Mine was a 1967 Ford Custom (looked like the Galaxy line). It was the first
car I ever drove, and all my memories of my high school and college years
are intertwined with that car. Mine got 12 mpg in the city and could do 110
mph (only tried it once). Isn't it amazing how much we love them?

I'd love to get in on buying the Caddy. Let me know if you hear of any
organized efforts.

Subject: ESP/ Trophy Lambs/ What I hate

A message to all who wanted me to post the ESP exercise in hopes of saving FK:

Sorry. I forgot that my friend Jessie lost the book about four months ago.
Lost another book at the same time, too- left 'em on a public bus! But
we're even, since I left her video copy of *Highlander* on top of my locker
and lost it (nearly lost an FK tape too, but that turned up for some
mysterious reason. I guess a tape with a label that said: "Cathy's Tape.
Blood Money. Bad Blood." was too weird to bother with. Yes, I bought her a
new copy.) Rats. I had forgotten this completely. I checked, and lo! It
wasn't there. So, I guess we fall back on letters and cranes again.

Also: does anyone know what airs after the "Trophy Lambs" repeat? When do
the last four come into play?

I hate when this happens. When you like something, you picture it as going
on forever. I mean, one day *The X Files* will finish. One day they'll
stop printing up the comic books I like. One day my favorite morning
funnies will be ( or were!) cancelled. You just don't think of it at the
time. I don't know what I'm trying to say. I'm just thinking, FK had to
end some day. But why so SOON??? And why in such a lousy manner? Why not
with more dignity? Man, no one ever gives the good shows any credit. They
always seem to get cancelled . . . just when I like them. Color me a show
killer too.

Whine mode off.

My daughter remembered the lines of a Richard Marx song, and with a little
editing, I think it goes really well with the way we're feeling right now:

We are the Children of the Knight
We won't go down without a fight
Our voices strong, our future's bright
Thanks for what we've learned from YOU,
We've Grown into the Children of the Knight

"You" ofcourse being TPTB!!

So there!!!
