Actually, the name of the first season episode he appeared in was "Hunters".
There was a second season episode called "Hunted"; it is quite easy to get

Subject: Trophy Girl Spoiler and Knightie Question

Trophy Girl is out from under spoiler protection, right? I hope so, 'cause
here's a spoiler.

Did anyone else wind up ROTFL at the ending when LaCroix was the e-mail pal
to the phsyco killer? I know this episode was filmed long before we became
major pains to TPTB, but I could still hear them saying to themselves "This
ought to make the computer dweebs feel good about themselves - we're giving
one of the characters their own computer." Was that so we'd identify with
the character (yeah, the three seasons of deep psycho-analyzing wouldn't do
the trick, but give the guy a laptop and we feel an instant raport.)? Maybe
I was just silly from the lack of sleep at the time the show ended, but I
also got major giggles at the thought of Uncle referring to himself as
"Rosebud." I also thought it was fitting that they let Uncle have the
computer, since I gather that N.B. is one of the more computer literate of
the cast.

BTW, on the subject of the female version of Knightie: Didn't I read on the
Factions FAQ that Knightie was what the female Nick fans began calling
themselves (as opposed to the male fans, who were Knights)? Wouldn't a
Knightie by definition be female? I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm
wrong.

Hello, everyone.

Re: Sci-Fi Universe:
Okay, someone posted recently that FK was featured in the
March issue of Sci-Fi Universe. I've searched all over
(Waldenbooks, B. Dalton, Barnes & Noble, Borders, grocery
stores, drug stores) and cannot find this magazine. Borders
had the *February* issue, but not the March. Has the new
issue been released anywhere? According to the Feb.
cover, the Mar. issue should've been out on Valentine's Day
... and now it's the 27th. Does anyone have more info
about this? I NEED this magazine!! Help me, please,
before I go insane....

Re: Sci-Fi Entertainment:
Well, it's not the March issue, but the one marked April 1996
has two FK letters, one by Sherri L. Godsey & one by Lisa
Wolters, plus the editor ("Ed Flixman") makes a few nice
comments. Congrats, you two!

So there you are--my questions for the day. :) Hey, I'm
getting better! I actually made a few comments!

Also, I want to open this up here - how about a FK party here in AZ?
During Spring break or summer? If interested, private e-mail me back.
Let's plan it out, ok? Especially now that AZ FK fans are coming out of

Hmm, maybe it causes erratic sideburn growth. ;)

You know, anthropologists (Anthrovamp strikes again!) can look at the bones
of the dead to see their nutritional habits during life. F'rinstance, a
banding on the teeth might indicate poor diet during childhood years.
Likewise, tree people (botanists? treeologists? dendrochronologists?) can
look at the rings of a tree to see which years were lean and which were
plentiful. So maybe we can take a peek at Nick's sideburns and see how he's
been chowing down on the ol' blood supply. Notice how lately he seems to be
growing those sideburns like he's gonna enter em in the State Fair?

Just a thought. ;)

LaCroix's claims still could be true. But I think way back then, people grew up
faster and died at a "younger" age. During that time , it was not
uncommon for someone to die from old age at say... at their late thirties to
mid forties.

In "A More Permanent Hell" LaCroix tells Nick that he (Nick) and Janette, and
the other "young" vamps will starve to death after the asteroid obliterates
mortals and eventually all other life forms (cows, etc) However, he was
quite perturbed by the fact that the "ancient" ones, such as himself, would
linger on quite awhile longer, "existing merely to exist". I dont know if
that constitutes pain on a physical level but I'll bet they feel the effects
of starving just as a human would?

When I brought up the whole thing about what do female Knights call
themselves, I was thinking in terms of *prefixes*. Hey, I'm a feminist --
I'm an "author" not an "authoress"! I simply meant, the male Knights on this
list can call themselves "Sir Suchandsuch" but what do the women call
themselves. Women aren't going to call themselves "Sir"! I mean, well,
maybe they would, I dunno.

Anyway, I said as much in my original post on the matter, which was a reply
to someone remarking on Cousin unity -- we Cousins tend to put "Cousin"
before our names, whereas Knights and Knighties tend to put their faction
either after their name or below it. Someone was trying to incite the
Knights and Knighties to similiar "family pride" by suggesting they
incorporate "Knight" somehow into their title. I said in my first post that
male Knights could be Sir Something, and then I wondered what female Knights
would be. *This* is what sparked the whole debate. I asked if female
Knights would be Ladies, and then someone wrote and said they'd "Dames",
someone else said "Damosels". I was merely trying to find out what *prefix*
the female Knights on this list could use.

Ain't listmail exasperating? It's so easy to lose track of meaning when
you've got fifth-generation replies floating around. ;)

is "neglect" to tell them about the Sunburn Rule, then tell them they're
going to Disney World...

As of two weeks ago, Ghost Mom (also known as "Didn't We Bury You Yesterday"
and Bury Me In Niagra") had not been released for sale or rental in the US
or Canada.

It may be personal bias, but I tend to side towards Malk. NIck's
derangement would be a variant of "Don't Believe in Vampyres", I'd say, in
that he denies what he is. Depression may also count as a sort of derangement.

Uncle's (though harder to spot) would be a form of "rationalization". He
decides very logically (to him) (usually) what he does, and how it will
affect him, and proceeds like he's playing a game of chess.

Janette, Janette... hmmmmm... not sure here. help anyone?

Then again, they may be of a cross-clan, Toreador-Malk, Toreador-Ventrue,
Malk-Ventrue (silent scream of anguish). Oiy...

Well, he's in the show (someplace), and someone is going to be a Nosferatu.

True, but Uncle is Uncle, plus he's older than most vamps.

And, technically, he would have died (again) in "Fever" had he not drained

In reply to Amy's message about Natalie's home, yes, Natalie does have
one, but I think it's an apartment. It was featured in the "Only the
Lonely" episode from the first season (the one where Natalie reminisces
about how she met Nick while at the same time dates a psycho killer) and
the "Valentine's Day" episode (LaCroix spies on Nick and Nat from the
outside of her place). She also has a cat named Sidney.
By the way, are there supposed to be some infamous stories about Sidney
the Cat?

I know what you mean. <Everything's> making me
think of FK's upcoming "finale" lately. :(

I was packing last night (I'm moving soon--hate
moving; hate packing even more) and listening to
Kirsty McColl....when "Tomorrow Never Comes"
started playing, and all I could do was sit there
in the middle of my boxes and flash back to Susan's
song challenge story....if anybody wants to read a
<good> stiff-upper-lip sort of Forever Not (that gets
me blurry-eyed and sniffly every time I read it)
dealing with Nick and Nat working very hard to be
Mature and Grown-Up, go read this story now!

After I was done sniffling, I turned off the CD player,
put on the radio....and what was playing but "Don't
Let the Sun Go Down On Me." Waaaaah!!!!!!!!! :( :( :(

I suspect some people are in my situation: the spirit is willing,
but the fingers can't hack it.

I tried. I really did. I looked at the directions on both web
pages, and in a library book. The result was the same each time.
About halfway through folding the crane, I came to a step where
what I was supposed to do next did not correspond to the reality

   I'm sorry... I would if I could.

E-gads, what did I start?

Once upon a time, in a post long, long ago (ok, so it was
only 5 days ago...) I made the comment:

>PS Hey, all you Knighties -- we got to come up with a signoff.
> Maybe male Knighties can be Sir such and such
> Female Knighties can be Lady such and such
> May not be a great idea...Someone come up with something!

The idea was a result of reading other factions posts, in
which I noticed some of the other factions (cousins in
particular) had a means of very clearly and proudly
identifing themselves in their signoffs. I am proud of being
a Knightie and was just looking for a way to show it.

Whether or not you choose to go by Lady, Dame, Knight,
or Damosel, or not to identify yourself at all, it is certainly
at your discretion. I still haven't decided which suggestion,
if any, I like best. (Does that make me a "flighty Knightie"?)

At any rate, with all the group discussion, I did find out who
some of the Knighties were! :-)

Lady, er...
Dame, hmmm...
Damosel, naaaa...
