Subject: Apology

I have been advized by another listmember to post this to the whole list
at large. So don't blame me if I'm just reopening old wounds so to speak.

I made the mistake of posting a description, my personal opinion no less,
of LaCroix. Over private email I was informed that the way I phrased it,
the description could have been misconstrued to apply to the actor, who I
have also been informed, is on this list. This was not my intent. I happen
to have friends who can make themselves look completely different depending
on who they happent o be pretending to be at the moment. I think that the
actor, Nigel Bennett, is extremely skilled to portray a creature of such
despicableness and to communicate the aura of pure power which is doubtless
the quality which endears LaCroix to all his followers. My preference for
Knight stems from this quality for I dislike that aura of LaCroix's and I
cannot stand arrogance, however well deserved.

I hope that this clears matters.

I totally agree! Been here since 1977 and am considering either getting a
summer home in another state or flat out moving in the near future!

I thought his favorite is Souvlaki? But if it's pizza, it'd have to have
alot of garlic, right? (cringing>

Isn't it nice to see more people from Arizona on the list? <grin>
BTW, you all affiliated with U of A? I'll be graduating from there this
May. Yipeee!

Maybe some day (Spring Break maybe?) we all should have a FK Party, what
you think?

Subject: KYW-TV Response - PLEASE READ

Sorry, didn't mean to shout at you with the last part of the subject, but
I need help interpreting this letter I received from KYW-TV in Philly today.
I don't think I've heard anything quite like this before, although I am
behind in reading all my lists.

Here's a copy of the letter (typos are mine):

Thank you for your interest in "Forever Knight." We
appreciate your ongoing support of this unique program.

However, the program's distributor, Columbia Television,
has advised us that effective in the fall of this year
Forever Knight will be seen exclusively on the USA Cable
Network. KYW-TV will continue to air the series until that
time.

Thank you again for your thoughts.

Naomi Adams
Program Coordinator

I can read a couple of things into this. I leave the more in depth
analysis to those of you better at it.

I've been so busy, I've practically been reduced to a lurker--but no, not
that......

A question:

I presume the one we're in is *the* Save FK *real-type* one???????

When a war is fought--okay, might as well just ask (*ignorance revealed,
blush, squirm*)---how is a war fought--and where--on the list or FKFic???
All info welcome. Go ahead, pretend I'm the worst newbie ever to venture
onto the firing line-----

Better prepare now than later........

I apologize ahead of time for the extra quoting, but I wanted direct
quotes for my query. What does this mean for Canadian viewers who DO NOT
have access to the USA Network? Will Canadian stations (CTV/CanWest-Global/
SHOWCASE) be able to pick them up for Canadian viewers? If not, I know
this will seriously annoy FK's Canadian viewers, myself included. Is
there someway I or another could find out this information for me?

Sincerely,

I think that simply means that USA proposes to strip the three years
to which they own the rights.

We'd have heard by now if there were the slightest chance that it meant
a new season on USA.

> say this ever since: any other Christians out there? I have concluded

I'm a Christian.

Are there any academics on this list who'd be willing to give me advice?

And now for the OOTM:

Has anyone ever considered that maybe the FK vampires (or at least the
big suppliers like the Raven) freeze-dry their blood supply? This has
several advantages:

1. It takes up less space than refrigerated/frozen/bottled.
2. It keeps without regrigeration (for a loooong time).
3. It can be mixed with any liquid available, and in any
concentration. I assume they'd grind it to powder, to
make it easier to use. Think iced tea mix, or
        instant coffee.
4. It can be discreetly hidden, and probably not easily
        identifiable by the mortal eye.
5. Maybe when taking the liquid out, the platelets can be
        removed to prevent clotting.
6. The nutritional value should be preserved (at least it is
        for other things).

Now, how many of you out there are picturing "We've replaced Janette's
Special Blend with new Folger's Crystals!"? :)

Unless a male Raven who bears a resemblance to LC is convinced to pose
in black negligee so that his picture can be taken and enclosed in a
gift of the black negligee to make said gift appear to be from LC.

I just want to say to Nigel, Ger, Catherine, Tracy, Ben, Blue, Fred, and
everyone else who's been involved in the making of Forever Knight (and pardon
my shout, but you are worth celebrating):

THANKS FOR DOING A GREAT JOB!

It's been a lot of fun. I wish you all well in your journeys, and I know we'll
be seeing and hearing more good stuff from you. The show may be (un)dead for
now, but who knows what the future brings. (Two-hour FK movies and
merchandise, we hope!) Check in once in a while and let us know how it goes:
We'll still be here.

Never say die.

More newbie (i.e. - stupid) questions.
Ready?
I want to know (no, not about Rogaine) more about the Mercinaries
faction. It sounds like a wild group to me! Besides, I have to admit
that getting paid to do mean, unspeakable things to people sounds
*really* good to me. Usually, I do stuff like that for the sheer heck
of it. <wicked, cruel grin> So, anybody out there willing to fill me
in?

Later, y'all!
