That's really too bad you feel that way. If everyone felt that way there would
be no Star Trek movies today or the continuation of the series (DS9, Next
Generation, Voyager). It's the continuing of fandom for the original series
that kept everything in TPTB minds in Paramount and eventually brought everyone
back.
Besides, there's more to the list than just the love of a current show. I've
grown quite fond of the people involved, it's as if I'm in school again and
surrounded by a bunch of friends on a daily basis leaving the real world
outside. I would miss this a great deal, and refuse to give it up simply
because the series is no longer on the air.

I, for one, have *no* intentions of leaving this list. I have had
entirely too much fun meeting all sorts of interesting (not to mention
deranged) people. Before anyone gets out of joint about "deranged," let me
say that I _like_ that in people. ;)
I'd go for writing some future "virtual episodes" if we don't get
season #4. That's if I can beat Real Life (tm) into temporary submission;
I'm still way behind on posting fic that I am still intending to post.
War #7? This summer?! Waitaminute -- War #6 ain't over yet! Let's
either win this sucker, or find out that we've been . . . (ugh, I don't
want to say it) defeated <ptooey!> once and for all. I don't mean that to
sound negativist, but let's face it. TriStar and TPTB have obviously never
intended to deal with us in good faith. Their concerns are saving their own
keisters, and never mind the fact that selling FK could help them.
And now for some general stuff. It's my understanding that the FK CD
will come out on March 1. Contents will include the FK theme, Nightcrawler
monologues, music from the Raven, and more of the virtuoso work of our own
Mr. Mollin. Take a bow, Fred. Without your tireless efforts, we wouldn't
have any way to get an audio FK fix. <insert virtual applause here>
As a farewell, let me say that if War #7 comes in the summer, I'm
ready. Or as ready as I can be. <checks to make sure ash stakes, holy water,
garlic, and wide-spectrum UV sunlamps are within arm's reach>

I think that one needs to be careful with sticks and balls. For

I will be on the lists for as long as there are lists; and I will continue
with this fandom, period.
I've seen just enough of this world to know that what we have here is
exceedingly rare. For some unknown reason, this particular show has
brought together a really incredible group of people; and that taken
together, the show and the people and the bonds that link us all together
are a truly amazing thing.
No matter what happens with the cancellation, I will stick with the SOSFK
thing for as long as there is the remotest glimmer of hope for ANY sort of
continuation of Forever Knight; and quite probably afterwards. I don't
know why, I don't know how, but I feel a very strong conviction that
***this story is not yet over***.
The story of Forever Knight, after all, isn't just the story of Nick et
al.; just as depicted in the FKFIC wars, and as chronicled by our listposts
and quote lists and fiction, it is the story of EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US.
And that story cannot end; not as long as there are hearts that keep the
dream and the spirit alive, and who care about the other souls who feel the
same way.
I am proud and honored and touched to the core to be one of the 'writers'
of that story, as indeed we all are, in our individual ways: the FK story
is our story, our history and our future, for the friendships we share have
grown beyond the narrow confines of a single shared interest. We are more
to each other than merely 'fellow fans'; I don't know how that happened,
but it is an incredible, wonderful thing to behold.
This isn't just a mailing list, damn it, it's a *community*; it's a warm
cozy place where we gather and talk about things that no one else would
understand, debate and giggle, occasionally argue, and otherwise share
quality family time with each other.
I'm here for the duration, and beyond. And I hope that the rest of you
will stay here and hang out with me.

If it only happened in one episode, we wouldn't be talking about
it! But if you go back and watch the first half of the season, it
seems like in *every* episode Reese walks up to the water cooler,
takes a paper cup, tries to get water out of the cooler, fails,
crushes the cup, and throws it away. All this while talking to
someone else, so you wouldn't think it was important if it didn't
happen again and again and again....
I haven't seen him do this in the last few episodes -- has he given
up on getting a drink, or did they fix the water cooler?
All of this is probably Blu Mankuma's silliness shining through.
I know that if I ever met the actor, my first question to him
would be, "Can I get you a cup of water?" :)

I didn't get the impression from the Ger chat that he was depressed at all.
Actually he seemed pretty happy with the prospect of moving on to other
projects. I believe he stated morale on the set was just fine. The actors
*do* have other irons in the fire. Ger and all the other characters on FK
are *actors*. An actor plays many roles, and they all have to end sooner or
later (Unless you're William Shatner and doomed to be Capt. Kirk forever).
They move on. It's part of life. I guess the 16 hr days are just getting
to him like they would anyone else, hence the frumpy look. But I dont think
sleep deprivation = depression over the ending of the series. IMO.

Wait! Isn't morality a matter of perspective? Just what exactly is "moral
goodness"? I don't think LC is immoral or evil, just marching to the beat of
a different drum. His value system may be different than Nat's but that
dosent make him evil and her good. I think LC has many redeemable qualities.
I also think his intentions are frequently misunderstood. Stubborn?-yes.
Selfish?-most of the time. A hedonist?-most definitely. Evil?? I dont
think so. ( IMNSHCO ) I don't think there is such a thing as evil. I think
there is only good and absence of good, and neither are absolutes. So, maybe
you could say LC is a little less good than Nick or Nat. I'd probably agree
to that....but I *like* him bad!!!

If you won't admit to the existence of absolute evil and absolute good, I
will. And, more to the point (of the NatVamp stuff that I think started
all of this) I believe Nat would too. Of course we all like LC evil; a
hero is no more than his greatest foe... but in Nat's mind she is good
and LC is evil and Nick is the pilgrim soul between them.

I watched this movie for him too, and was very surprised to find out Nigel was

Someone wrote a story to that effect. I read it on the FK fiction web site,
look under cross universe. Unfortunately, it doesn't really work in the Time
Trax universe, because children chose their own last names on reaching
adulthood.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see this as Schanke's fantasy. It sounds
entirely too much like Jenny to me. Isn't Jenny about 11? I think that
Schanke's fantasy woman is someone like Janette. Totally different from
anyone in his life, but someone who it would be fun to fantazize having
