If you're mailing from outside Canada, don't fuss too much about wrapping your gifts, because Customs may well decide to rip off the wrappings and all your hard work will have gone to waste. Better to put the goodies in a pretty box or bag that can be opened, inspected, and re-closed without damaging it. 2. On the customs form, list the nature of the contents (candy, toys, salsa, jam, whatever), say it's a *gift*, and list the value as NCV for "No Commercial Value." This should keep the recipient from having to pay duties or go down to the Customs office to pick it up. Thanks to Lynne Ackerman in Toronto for this hint. 3. Apparently, packages, notes, and cards addressed to specific individuals or groups of individuals have a better chance of getting through to the cast and crew quickly than those simply marked "For the cast and crew of FK." So pick names from the credits list (cast or crew) or groups of people like "The Camera Crew and Sound Engineers," "The Lighting and Electrical Crew," "The Costume and Wardrobe Crew," "The Extras," "The Transportation Crew," "The Stunt Performers," "The Folks in Post-Production and Editing," or "The Guy/Gal who Runs the Xerox Machine." Sorry we still don't have a complete list of *everyone* who works on FK; we're still working from the 3rd season credits list. 4. For delicate or high-priority packages, there are one or two people in Toronto who apparently have permission to hand-deliver packages to the studio. E-mail me off-list if you'd like me to put you in contact with one of them. As always, e-mail me off-list if you need the Paragon address in Toronto or the credits list. >From your friendly neighborhood keeper of the GOODIES list -- * Allison Percy, a perky Knightie percy91@w....... * * __o Pedal for Forever Knight & for a worthy charity! * * _`\<,_ Contact me to pledge support or join the ride.
