I prefer men with longer hair, by and large, but somehow can't conceive
of Mr. B with it. To an extent, it all depends on how you get used to
the man. His buzz seems to suit him.

> When I spoke with DebD at DOWII she talked about how unruly her hair

she must have good hairdressers, then because it always seemed tame on
the shows (sometimes bizarre, but tame :) ).

> Catherine Disher has the same problem? She has all those sproingy curls

probably. She could use this product my sister got for me. Is supposed
to help with the frizzies without relaxing the curls themselves.

I wonder what Ben Bass would look like with a good hair style? He could
certainly show off the good bones in his face that way.

Re: Susan and her hair. I can speak with some authority as I had hair
down to my lower back until last April, then got it cut to shoulder
length, which I survived OK.

However, over Christmas it was getting in my eyes something fierce and
bugging me, so I went into a good salon and got it chopped. I didn't
think it was going to be chopped, but somehow her definition of chin
length differed from mine. It was all a lot shorter, especially layered
bits on top.

The point is that although it is taking me much time to get used to
it, I have friends and people who are only nodding acquaintances tell me
how much they like the new style, so even though I'm unsure, clearly
objectively it must be better than my old straight hair style.

It depends on what kind of hair you have. If your hair is straight,
you are probably better off with it long, especially if it isn't that
thick. But if it is thick and curls naturally, you might be better off
with it shorter to show off the thickness and curl.

I've got several e-mails telling me that I should be more careful in
reading messages, especially the encripted ones. I want to apoligize
publically for any harm I've done.
All I got with that message was the encription, no note, but I've talked
to the woman in charge of e-mails at my college and found that a lot of
the digests I had been recieving had cut off the first page and a half.
SO again I am sorry for causing trouble, please please cousins, don't come
after me. I promise scrub the raven with a toothbrush the next time it happens.

Sorry, but USA owns the sci-fi channel. They wouldn't pick it up to make
new eps, only possibly to show the old ones, and since most of us don't
get SF, we wouldn't care for such a thing.

Hi All! I've just gotten a mailing from Web Review, basically a promo and
stuff, but... Has anyone thought to send *them* the press release and info
and stuff? They only discuss (or so I gather) things going on on the Web.
They might be interested in our SOS campaign...

Anybody want the info, I've got an e-mail address and an URL, drop me a line

What a shame you had such rude service. When I phoned, I found them to be

        Gang:
I just wanted to let it be known that I have written to the two local
syndicated stations to tell them how much I appreciate their showing FK. In
addition, I mentioned that should they go to NATPE, that they should pay a
visit to the TriStar booth and ask for a fourth season of FK. You know, let
TPTB at TriStar know that the interest is there, so why not go for it?

YKYBWTMFK . . . when you see in the TV Guide something about "Nick
*Something-or-other*, a kid's TV show, and you immediately think that Nick
is going to be teaching the kids the value of angst, and how to play on the
monkey bars, even if you're suffering a flashback at the time.

And it's official. Pamela Rush, FoD, has convinced me of the merits
of FoD-hood. I am herewith announcing myself as the only Nanette and B-nega-
tive FoD. Could the leader of the FoD's -- if there is such a personage --
let me know if my "application" is accepted? And what's the deal with stating
our blood type in our .sigs?

Thanks to all who sent me feedback on my e-mail to USA. I wanted to
let TPTB at USA to know that their demographic information is not always in
the right. I am a male (leastways, I was the last time I checked), but I do
not always enjoy having gratuitous T&A shoved into my face _a la_ "Silk
Stalkings." I will let the list know if I get a response; I somehow doubt
that I will.

I am guessing that there is a consensus that a boycott of USA is to
be postponed. I agree with whatever the majority decides. Personally, I feel
okay with a boycott; it's not like I watch USA for anything else.

BTW -- TV Guide has a plot synopsis of the new Kindred show, if any-
one wants to know about it.

As always, thank you all. Let's kick some elbows, people. Time is
getting short. And unlike vampires, we have to make the most of what time we
have.

Just my input....
For two years I worked on gettin my mother to _let_ me cut my hair. I
was 16 when I started, at the time my hair was mid back. By the time, at
my graduation from HS, htat she let me cut it it was nearing waist lenght....
I have never regretted cutting it. Infact my hair is still not quite down
to my ears, as anyone ken see on my web page...[new pics later this
week]. Cutting long hair short is not a fatal decision, and for some ppl
[like me][ it is the best thing in the world. So Susan, if you want to
cut your hair, I say go for it. It will grow back..:>.

Ida asks:
>Can anyone tell me where to download an SOSFK flyer? >

There's one on the FTP site, formatted for IBM Microsoft Word for Windows.
Download the following two files:

sfkshort.doc and title.pct

Even though it's a MAC PCT file, it works beautifully in Word. Just stick
the two documents in the same directory, open the flyer in word, and the FK
logo is pulled in automatically.

Cool, no?

The FTP site address is:

ftp.cac.psu.edu

PUB/PEOPLE/LMS5/FKSAVE

It's an anonymous login.

Regarding handing out of flyers? Don't miss putting them at your local
bookstores... I left a pile at two bookstores & they went like hot cakes...

One bookstore put them in the SF section, and they were very popular.

Subject: 800# Sponsors' Responses

I called the Consumer Comments number for Kelloggs, Hormel and
Proctor&Gamble today:
- Kelloggs wanted to know what I had that was Kelloggs; person who
answered said they'd been hearing a lot about FK (Way to go, guys!)
and she'd have to watch an episode herself (Yippee!)
- Hormel wanted to know what product was advertised during the show
(I said I couldn't remember, possibly Spam, but since I don't use
that I thought of their chili which I use lots of); I asked for the
address of the marketing people because I had a certificate for $1
back after buying 6 cans of chili and I was going to send it to
them and *not* ask for the $1 even though I had bought more than 6
cans. The phone person took down the information, ascertaining for
certain that I was not requesting reimbursement for the coupon
because of their support of FK; and my coupon goes out in the mail
tomorrow.
- Had to go look for P&G products (Vick's, Chloraseptic,
Pepto-Bismol) since I currently have Colgate, not Crest; answerer
said would pass info to marketing.

All wanted to know name and address (except P&G, they just wanted
zip code).

best way to get what we want.*
